Yay! It's actually good. I sort of assumed it just just a cash-in.

Hell yes! My 4K set of the original came yesterday so I'll be giving that a rewatch before next week. Didn't realise the film was nearly 3 hours long!

This comes as a huge surprise tbh

Seen a few reviews saying it may even be better than the original.

Not hard though is it? :P

Joking aside I'm definitely getting more excited by this than I was from the initial trailers!

I'm the same.

I should love it, but I just find it so boring.

Can't believe how well this has reviewed. Rewatched the original a couple of weeks ago and although I previously enjoyed it, thought that it really clicked with me this time round and I loved it, so really looking forward to this!

I'd be interested in the art production. Nothing can beat those matte paintings. They literally painted onto the cellulose film. The look they achieved should not have been possible.

Just remember there was NO cgi whatsoever in blade runner.

Dragging the missus to see this later, hope the opening sequence is as awe inspiring as the original, hearing great things about the cinematrography.

Told my friend we'd go see this next weekend.

Then I checked the runtime :dread:

Saw it in IMAX 3D yesterday, pretty damn good.

Not sure about better than the original, but it definitely works as a sequel.

Sound was pretty epic too.

Absolute class. That sound!

Struggling to think of anything wrong with it. Flew by, which is no mean feat considering the running time.

Cinematography is a huge deal for me and it's pretty much 10/10 in that department. That final fight, holy gooseberry fool!! The setting, the sound, the basic and pure violence. Wow.

It is a perfect homage to the original and it delicately builds on the lore with style.

The soundtrack to the closing credits as well :datass:.

Bombed bad in America.

Not entirely surprising.

Outside of internet circles, the original isn't some widely beloved master piece the public have been crying out for a sequel for.
