PostBlockbuster or Boomerang for game rentals?

Since LoveFilm dumped their games rentals I need somewhere new to rent them from. Has anyone had experience using both Blockbuster and Boomerang, particularly for new game releases on launch day? Which one is better or worse?

Boomerang is better for new games. Blockbuster tend to be slow to get newer titles at the moment and some newer ones aren't on there at all.
The other side of it is that Boomerang is a few quid more expensive.

Boomerang also give you the option of paying a little more and being higher in priority for new releases I think.

Both have free trials available too.

Have either of them confirmed they are getting PS4 games yet?

Depends what you're after.
Boomerang get newer games faster, have a wider selection and offer 3DS and Vita titles, but is a few quid more expensive then the equivalent Blockbuster or LoveFilm package.
If you aren't bothered about handheld and are willing to wait for newer titles though, Blockbuster will save you a few quid. They also allow you to do things in-store if there's a branch left near you.

Personally, I would say Boomerang is better overall.

Awesome. Sorry if I sounded blunt, I just recall you not being too enamoured with Boomerang in the GGC thread a little while back.

No worries.
It was the pricing and the fact I knew little to nothing about them that put me off initially, but after free trials and then a one month subscription to both I can safely say I prefer Boomerang. The wider selection and inclusion of handheld titles makes it well worth the extra few quid a month.

Just to give a better answer to the question of how good Boomerang are for new releases.

I today received Lost Planet 3, today being release day for the game in Europe.

Being with Blockbuster is not the way to go if you just want games as I've been with them 3 months now and getting stuff from the top of my list is almost impossible.

I'm trying to cancel my blockbuster account and so far it's not going well. I've been on the phone 10 minutes and am yet to speak to anyone.

Yeah I'm having trouble getting through to cancel as well. Line is only open until 5:30 Monday-Friday and no on-line option outside that.

Same here. What ticks me even more is they have nerf to want to charge me for 1 month bill.

I have returned their games like 2 weeks back but everytime I call it's a long waiting line, and I never get through.

Going to send them email.
