What if you go offline? Not that I would consider doing that :shifty:

Furthermore I have killed the following bosses Cleric Beast, Father Gascoine, Blood Starved Beast, Vicar Amelia, Darkbeast Paarl and Witch if Hemwick anybody have any ideas where I should be headed next? The only place I can think of is the Gaol but that area seems a bit hard right now.

Main plaza outside cathedral ward, where all the giants were hanging out? One of them is sitting in front of a little entrance.

Aaaaand finished. What the strawberry float was that ending? The Souls series were never renowned for their spectacular ending cut-scene but that was....what was that? I don't think I got the good ending. :slol: I've heard there are 3. I killed the old man in the wheelchair and then had a fight with some alien creature who came down from the sky immediately afterwards and then a 5 second scene and credits. Awful. I like a little more closure than that!

But outstanding game overall.

[edit] According to Youtube I got the "true" ending (the third one), which also happens to be the shittiest. :slol: :fp:

Cheers, I figured it out. I didn't realise I had the password for that door all along.

Had a pretty good session on this last night. Managed to beat Vicar Amelia and the Witch of Hemwick without too much trouble. I wasn't sure where to head next but I stumbled back onto that passworded door without realising I now had the password. Didn't venture too far into the next area, but I picked up an item that hinted to go back to that giant ghost thing to the right of the cathedral. Went back there and got killed again, but this time with a cutscene and I woke up in a lecture hall, looking forward to exploring that later on.

Work is such a drag when I have this waiting back home. I have to be honest though, I have absolutely zero idea what is going on with the story., I'm not sure if I'm missing loads of details or if the game just is this vague. I'm looking forward to completing it so I can read up on the lore and things without spoiling anything.

BSB is KTFO :slol: He beat me three times, none of which were leatherings; I always took a good chunk of its health before copping it, and I always felt in control of the encounter unlike with Cleric Beast and Father Gazza.

Flame throwers can fcuk right off too.

Did you buy the key for 10,000 and play through the area behind that gate? She should appear to the left of the door outside the church if you he'd straight ahead from the bonfire. Apparently she doesn't appear until you've opened the gate at the top of the stairs near that bit by pulling the lever on the other side. She didn't appear for me there until right after I'd done that.

Make sure you've spoken to her twice in Yarnham and got the item and gesture and exhausted her dialogue options.

Not ventured behind the gate yet, thanks to the Flame throwers. Thanks.

So I have had a long, hard day at work, with it being my first day in a new school, meeting loads of new people and talking in a foreign language all days and having to give two speeches in that language (one of which was sprung upon me completely by disguise).

It is time to kick back, finally relax and play Bloo.... Oh strawberry float, I still have Father Gascoigne to do tonight.

Does it usually take ages for someone to show up when summoning for co-op or have I just wasted my insight?

I have tried summoning once to fight Darkbeast Paarl and it worked so I have a 100% success rate. I think it is more likely to work if you and the other player are close together.

Didn't play for a few days so went back for a quick sesh just there. I'm still on the Cleric Beast but I'm beginning to get there. Each attempt is taking me closer to beating him. Though once I got him down to about a quarter or a third of his health he just went mental, so I didn't get much chance to recover from his attacks. Next time the bastard is mine.

I'm considering going back around the area a few times first though, farming echoes and hopefully some upgrade materials as well so I can give myself an edge on him.

What level are you at? I think I was Lv.13 when I beat him, though I used up seven vials in the process.

Only at 11 I think. I've only leveled up once so some mild grinding might be in order. :D

I think the Cleric Beast is a bit of a baptism of fire. Neither Phalanx nor Taurus Demon were this hard. In hindsight I would also say the Last Giant wasn't as hard since I find him pretty easy now but when I first played DS2 it took me around 11 hours to beat him whereas I killed Cleric Beast in around 5 or 6 hours, the main problem I had was finding/reaching him.

Maybe I'm just getting better the more of these games I play :D

I've found a lot of the bigger enemies are really vulnerable to you rolling behind thier back. The cleric beast only has a back hand slap which doesn't do much damage, and the Blood Starved Beast has no attack that hits directly behind it.

Patch is out. Fixes that co-op glitch thing in the forest and gets rid of that item dupe glitch.

What are (or were) these glitches? I haven't been following this game online at all apart from discussing it here.

Fixes the issue of not being able to obtain the "Lunarium Key" once the user partakes in online multiplayer as a co-operative guest by using the "Small Resonant Bell" or as a hostile guest buy using the "Sinister Resonant Bell" in the area, "Forbidden Woods."

I'm pretty sure that when I last left the game I was in a safe area before setting the PS4 to Rest mode. However when I loaded it up today this happened...

:fp:

I loved the art and detail in the Henwick area. The boss wasn't too hard, took me three attempts. I then went back and attempted the Vicar Amelia boss. This is much harder and I don't have many blood vials but it seems doable with patience...
