And there are no invisible walls.

Oh thank strawberry float. :D Cheers! May you murder John Terry repeatedly in your sleep. And then again in real life.

Cainhurst done. :D

Really liked it. Apart from the dart firing dicks. Blightown flashbacks. :dread: :D Could have maybe made the shots more visible. Also I dunno what was going on here but it was like I couldn't hurt them until they got aggressive? :? :D Loved moving between inside and out. Anyway the shortcuts were nicely placed. The run to the boss was a little long though. But what a boss! :o :D Mighty Lenin! :D Took 5ish goes or so I think. Dunno what fights it was but the moves reminded me of something from DS. Only got a couple of issues with it. The camera doesnt like his big flying dive move and his tendency to do this magic move with a big red ball/skull when I got up close. It seemed to go past me but then still hurt me from behind the camera. Would have been better if he just had some kind of move that just pushes you back. At first I thought the projectiles flying about in the room was really cheap. But then I worked out you could destroy the sword in the ground. Ironically when I actually beat the bastard he never did this move. Or the bit where he charges up. I'm not sure what that move actually did. He got more aggressive but so do all the bosses in this game. I got a really good read to parry him early on but then often it seemed to not work at all. :? I know I could have got the timing wrong but damn so often it seemed to do nothing.

Anyway. He died. It was ace. :D Easily my fav boss fight so far. I got down to my last 5 vials again though. So more farming for me. :D

:D

Trying to be vague - where did you go after being the boss?

To chat to my doll wife. I read the description of the crown but I had farming to go do. sorry I mean :D

Love the way all the items in the game have info with them. But they never state if you can machine wash or have to do it by hand. Are they microwave safe? Recyclable?

That smiley face thing is getting not at all annoying. You should carry on doing it forever.

:D

Played a bit more. Went back to Cainhurst because obviously there was more to do. Except there wasn't really anything. Sure I put the crown on and suddenly a new section appeared and it was cool but I'm guessing this is another online faction thing which I don't give a crap about. Or is there more to this? I'm sure the lore is good. :D So I went back to the healing church tower bit to see if I could find a way past that door again. Nope. I did find something else though. I thought maybe the key might be below and that I'd somehow missed it when falling earlier on. But I spotted a door! Perhaps this will lead to the key? Nope. After dying more times then some boss fights trying to reach said door ( :D ) I found the hunters dream but in the real world. Gave the hair piece to the doll. She felt joy. :D

Then went on to the Nightmare Frontier again. Here I made the discovery that if you do a charge attack in the back of an enemy it stuns them. :D Now I dont think this was told to me. Maybe it was at the beginning. I dunno. Might have been handy. Anyway. I explored what I could of the place. But I couldnt really do much because the place was full of poison water which slowed me down and frankly could hardly tell where land was. A few times I ran towards what I thought was safe ground only for it not to be or that my character simple couldn't even actually get on. :D Then things were being thrown at me. I'll try and explore it better later. I was hoping to find a way of not getting poisoned but didn't. Like a kind of anti-lava ring but for poison water. Some weird thing did something weird and I lost nearly all my health. I then killed the thing. The thing had a beautiful voice. :D I found the obvious boss room and turned around and discovered the shortcut. Thank strawberry float I turned around. :D The boss, Amygaga, was........ well. I thought it was a mess. At first I thought....... oh strawberry float. Its one of those things! But the fight itself. It just seemed to be roll, hack and hope. :D It was so big and the attacks so large that it basically was impossible to see anything. I think it took me 4/5 goes. It seemed quite easy tbh but if it decided to hit me or jump on me I was effectively just guessing and hoping everything would be fine. :D The framerate plummeted at points. REALLY BADLY. :D It was like fighting the Bed of Bollocks mixed with the Hyrda from DS. Only without the puzzle part of the bollocks fight. I made a couple of attempts to find weak spots. Like the tail but that was just tougher. So were the legs for some reason despite not having the exoskeleton the tail had. So I just tried to hit the arms. Did that swing hit the arm? Yes/No. When it ripped its on arms off it was cool. But it would have been cooler if its health dropped over time and you just had to survive. That would have been a twist. Instead it just carried on being a guessing game. But only now you had to hope the arm you hit was still connected. I think. I'm sure sometimes I hit those arms it did damage. I dunno. I'll look back.

Think it says a lot that I didn't even know I'd killed it. Just one stray swing clipped it and that was that. :D Shortcut was brilliantly placed. :D I liked this area for its surrealness ans it make a really nice change but in all honesty it feels a bit tacked on. :D

I think the only place I can push forward to now is the building with the motion sensor light. I hope they don't have foxes like we have here because that could get really irritating. :D

The response to pretty much any of TWA's complaints can be "Get Good Scrub"

It's hard to tell from your...interesting...descriptions but I think you're largely reaching the end areas of the game (other than DLC).

The locked door at the top of the healing church

You've missed the key...

It can be found in Yahargu if I recall correctly

And that thing is a faction...they don't just do online stuff though. Sometimes they can help progress NPC stuff...have you met anyone interested in Vilebloods? ;)

Bit harsh? Its John Terry! :D Arsenal btw

Feck off. :D I love the skill involved in rolling about randomly hoping not to be hit by an attack happening off screen. As far as the game goes it was an ok fight. But if I'm honest I've not been that impressed with the boss fights in this so far. :D Only one has hit the lows of some of DS fights (Bob) but I don't think its had the highs either. Except maybe Mighty Lenin the King of Cainhurst. But even that guy decided to be a twat who could swing through walls. :D Gazza could have been but I found the persistent camera issues a real gooseberry fool. :D

Hexx wrote:Sometimes they can help progress NPC stuff...have you met anyone interested in Vilebloods? ;)

Honestly I have no idea know. Its been ages since I've spoken to someone. Excluding talking windows/doors I think I've only met 2 people. The lady dressed like a crow/bird that I think attacked me in the Grand Cathedral after the blood moon happened. But I'm not sure it was her because I only spoke to her once and that was right at the very beginning. And then there is the blonde chap, who I've spoken to twice I think, he just seemed to want to tell me about some places I could ask about. Again this was ages ago. So maybe he said something. I dunno. Got enough guff to try and remember and item descriptions to pick through. If I've missed more interactions then its because its stupid. I got through DS and dealt with most of the NPC stuff ok. Solaire and the Onion Knight just turned up as I went along. I feel like I'm missing huge gaps in this. :D And I've found them really forgettable.
Hexx wrote:The locked door at the top of the healing church

Thanks. I wouldn't usually give in but I've looked all over the place and I simply don't have a clue where to actually look. I'll go look there again. :D

You don't deserve a WiiU. Get back to your virtual boy :P

I'm sorry I can't remember where exactly it is :)

I loved the bosses in BB but there's a few too many "big'uns". I actually think the first boss (Father G?) was one of the best in the game.

Although there's a DLC one I loved as well

Thats ok Hexxy. :D  I'm sure its placed in a logical point in the game if you have found and read every detail the game gives you and you can remember everything and you write your own wiki as you play. Stopping for 10 mins every time you pick something up because the menu doesn't highlight anything new. I suspect its somewhere near the respawning crazy ladies and the laser Amygaga because thats the one point I can think off that maybe I didn't pick through as methodically as the rest. There was a really dark room but I didn't find the witch bringing them back so I didn't stay long.
Hexx wrote:I actually think the first boss (Father G?) was one of the best in the game.

He was second and yeah it was certainly one of the better ons. The Cleric Beast was first but the camera/lock on in that was strawberry floating dreadful. Beat it first time though. I've fought the Cleric Beast twice and beaten it twice. :datass: :D

Who the hell is Matt?

What sort of Hunter are you? Weapons/Style etc?

When I played it I was Skill focused. Threaded Cane for life! (With a quick fire, lower damage pistol for parry - I'd never used Shields in DS so that was novel!)

There's a later weapon I invested heavily in. It belong's to Simon :)

The area I think you're in next I thought was the cheapest (and worst) in the game with it's Frenzy light.

If anyone's interested the Hunter Figma figure is coming out. And, because of the dark colour and armour, the ugly Figma joints are somewhat hidden so it doesn't look too garbage. It's only really a problem on the elbows.

Not using the Threaded Cane and therefore it's a piece of muck
