The insight increased the difficulty of the game...but also, and correct me if I'm wrong. You acquire, or spot more items?

I didn't notice any change as I got more insight tbh, in anything.

Enemies carrying the lanterns in Cathedral Ward can shoot projectiles from them, and the one with the big scythes have bolt paper or something similar on their weapons. Also, the guys with the big crucifix on the big staircase leading to the Grand Cathedral can frenzy if they hit you. I think that's all with 15 insight or more.

So the less insight the better? Seems odd...

You also need insight to summon people into your game (which doesn't work half the time and ends up getting wasted) and you need at least ten to be able to buy the bell that lets you summon.

Does it help you summon npcs you meet along the way too?

I really shouldn't have squared all of the madmans knowledge should i?

In other news the enemies are now easier to beat now that i know how they work and their attack patterns. Really loving it.

Yeah it lets you summon them too, but there's barely any compared to previous games. You should definitely keep Madman's Knowledge until you really need to use it. Same goes for the Coldblood.

Ok thanks, have learnt my lesson. Have upgraded my axe a few times now, along with the blunderbus.

and in NG+ stalkers spawn in Hemwick at random points

That happens on the first playthrough as well. It's either something to do with your amount of insight or whether you've beaten Vicar Amelia.

Chalice dungeons are starting to offer resistance now. And I'm only half way through them.

This'll be a treat...

Steady progress and have reached old yharnam with that sniper killing me a few times - not sure where i should go after taking cover.

I must say i have found the notes more helpful in this game than in the souls games...either that or i am actually taking the time to read them! A few examples include what items and weapons to use on certain enemies!

There are certainly a few framerate judders, but nothing major. The lighting in this game is superb and really adds extra atmosphere into this already atmospheric game.

Martyr Logarius done. 8-)

The farming spot in the Lecture Building is ridiculous. Got about a million blood echoes in less than an hour last night.

It did start to dawn on me that the quickest way to level up was a school massacre, though. :dread:

That farming spot is amazing, especially since the loading patch made it so you can get about 30k blood in a few mins

One does not simply stop playing bloodborne...

I started playing this again last night, I was in the middle of a chalice dungeon and fought some giant with a hook arm and blood chains that one shotted me many times :dread: When I eventually beat him it was Indiana Jones style, a couple of cheap pistol shots and he was gone, felt good.

The next level down netted me some tool to turn items into other chalice items which seems like it will be pretty handy. This level is damn tough, I'm getting deaths in regular rooms and there's what seams like large beast versions of dogs with long tongues which finish me in seconds. Also Theres a load of rom spiders about so I think I can guess who the boss of this level will be :dread:
