Done the main game, including the extra bosses and areas via the online guides and some co op help.

Got past the dial area in the old hunters expansion, which is impressively long! May get this one done and dusted by the end of the week. Such a brilliant game - it just controls so well!

I don't think there's any shame in it, it's part of the game. I certainly do it.

Yep nothing wrong with help, youre supposed to and people that say it's the wrong thing to do are just being elitist pricks.

Why don't you just summon some help mate?

I remember he was a bit of a bastard, but I didn't summon any help until later in the game. I can't remember the exact details of how I beat him, but I'm pretty certain Benny Hill type runs around the graveyard, health and ranged weapons figured a big part in the battle. Never had the music box.

 I know what you mean. I was stuck at just some regular dudes in the Old Hunters for about 20 straight runs, my girlfriend was cowering in fear at my anger. I loaded up a walkthrough on Youtube and turns out there was a lamp literally 5m from where I was dying, so I could just run past. :fp:

It's okay, I got reduced to tears by Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine as a child so it could be worse.

Need to go back and dedicate time to Bloodborne again. Got really into it on release, then had a group of friends stay with me for a few weeks and had to put it aside. Ever since then I have felt like I have lost my mojo and would need to get good again, and haven't yet went back and dedicated time to it. It's hardly a game you can just pick up where you left off, or play casually once or twice every couple of weeks.

Unlike Dr Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine.

Done the final boss in the old hunters dlc and have one optional boss to go and i think thats about it for this game. There aren't many games i complete twice over the space of 9 months, but this is one of them!

Although i gave the witcher 3 the game of 2015, this, with the dlc comes close, so i may just give them a tie!

I guess the final witcher 3 dlc will enable cd projekts master piece to take the top spot again.

I can't describe how satisfying it is getting help online. These guys show you the way, even the hidden areas for rare items, like the blood rock, which i just got!

I might be an idiot for asking this, but can you pick who you summon into your game? I know you can summon randoms to help, but I have a friend who wants to start the game, and it would be cool if we could go across to each other's games.

It's possible, yeah, you just need to set a password and give it to them. (and obviously both be in the same area when the bells are rung. Rather stupidly though, you get kicked out of the host's game after defeating a boss.

How much is the DLC and long is it? I sold on the original but may buy it back and the DLC if it is good. Although having said that, probably don't have a save anymore so not sure I'd want to go through all the pain from scratch.

I've just gone back to this as I'm determined to finish at least one From Software game. Does anyone have a character around level 30-40 who would be willing to help out with some of the bosses?
