Vicar Amelia is destroying me. Using the saw cleaner and I almost have to be underneath her to register a hit, the only way I've gotten close is by using the NPC summon but I'm running out of insight.

God knows how I best Father Gascoigne on my second go.

Amelia is a banana split, alright. I remember using fire paper on your weapons helps a lot.

I just watched a video of someone beating her in about 3 minutes using just the saw cleaver and 3 vials. They were doing loads more damage than me so I guess one option is to grind for a bit.

Beat Amelia this morning 8-) . That grinding was needed, I didn't really know what I was doing at the start of the game and put a load of echoes into skill.

Exploring the area's around the cathedral now and I keep getting killed by the strawberry floating ogres (?) that I usually visceral with ease :fp:

Beat The Witch of Hemwick and working my way through the Forbidden Forest, the FF feels massive at the moment, seems to be hidden paths in every area. Found the short cut to the boss but there are so many other areas to explore, an electric guy, a big pig demon and a huge snake to kill.

Bought this at launch, loved it and got up to a section of the Cathedral wars. Then had some friends visit me for a few weeks, had to put it aside and always felt like I couldn't just casually go back.

Managed to restart it this week and dedicate some hours and have really gotten back into it. Managed to beat the Cleric Beast on the first go, and would have had Father Gascoigne too had I not made a stupid mistake right at the very end.

Anyway I am up to part with Djura - is it better to befriend him or kill him?

I just left the machine gunner alone, he's easy enough to dodge.

Parksey, I befriend anyone who doesn't want to kill me.

But as with all friendships, is it better to keep on his good side or kill him and take his cool clothes?

I couldn't kill him when I tried so I have neither his friendship or clothing.

Does anyone know The Forbidden Forest well? I've just cleaned out the area to try and get all the orbs but there is one I can't reach. There are two very close together and I had a had to find a route up and climb across a log to get the first (gravekeeper armour I believe) but I can't get the one above it. Any clues?

He was a banana split. My tactic was to stay close to the side of his weapon and roll out of his attacks. I don't think I've ever seen so many summons die so quickly and easily on a boss.

Really struggling with Shadow of Yarnham boss fight, the camera is utterly horrendous.

I can't see how I could possibly be under level but the fire breathing guy takes 3/4 off my health with one hit.

They do that. The only advice I can really offer is to always assume you're about to get hit from off screen so chuck a random dodge away while you're attacking one of them. Also don't get greedy as they'll all home in on you if you're in one place.
