I've been playing a bit more Bloodborne, and still loving every second. Last night I got to the Shadows Of Yharnam boss. Had a few quick attempts at them, then gave up for the night. Hopefully will have success tonight.

Beat the Shadows of Yharnam first try last night. Byrgenwerth seems a bit of a ramp up in difficulty though. Bloody Fly-men and Eldritch Horror strawberry floated me a few times! The giant insect thing was easy to beat though, 2 poison knife's FTW! Hunter inside was pretty tough. That's all I managed as I didn't have much time to play.

Sooooo, this was my first ever PS4 game. I got stuck at the second boss and never went back to it. So over a year later I decided to buy the digital game of the year version.

I had my old save game (level 19) and beat the second boss first time. Now I'm back in the world and loving it. It's brutal but always fair. If I die it's normally because I I rushed in or didn't time an attack right.

I have now beaten the optional boss at the old cathedral. Which took 20 healing potions and all the electric paper I had. I was down to one slither of energy left and I got the last hit. I'm right next to the dlc area so will take a look there. Hopefully I'll not be destroyed straight away and at least get together some blood and a weapon or two.

Such a brilliant game. Wish I had gotten back into it sooner.

The DLC area is basically end-game in difficulty so don't worry if you get stomped.

Yeah I've just been battered in there. Managed to grab some loot and have a look around but the hunters are killing me before I get close. Will return to the main game and save all that stuff for later.

I'm loving it now. The design of the world and the enemies are brilliant.

Just killed a witch(s) boss and I'm now level 40 something. Doing the chalice dungeons as I go too. Now I can equip runes and my weapon of choice is getting upgraded well.

The game is so well balanced and demands another go after each death. Hope a sequel is announced at E3.

Gone back to this after hammering DS3 so much I dream about it :fp:

Completely had no idea where to go, I had just beaten the witch, into the woods now, compared to DS3 is it wrong to say this is really easy? But really really fun. Cant remember all of the secrets, there is an area isn't there where you get transported to a jail?

God damn i love this gooseberry fool.

I also really want the guide, is there anywhere that sells it that isn't trying to rip me off?

Yeah, there is a jail. It's in a place you have to go to eventually as part of the story but you can end up there early. You can't do that much there until later in the game besides pick up some loot and fight (and most likely get killed by) an optional boss.

Final boss in the dlc is bit of a pain. Finally made it there this playthrough. Hopefully I'll be able to beat him some day

I did manage to defeat the boss of the big hidden castle yesterday. He wZ actually pretty easy once I used a bolt on my weapon and just rushed him.

Still loving every second of it. Trying to up a few stats to use a new gun which I've already maxed out in anticipation.

I'm stuck on Rom the Vacuous Spider. Used up all my blood vials, trying to beat it so many times. So I'll need to farm some more.

I was hoping someone could co-op with me to beat it sometime. I never get anyone joining me when I ring the bell. My PSN name is PolyphonicBoy

With Rom, use a bolt. Weapon or power up. Ignore his spiders and hit his side. Dash in, bash and hit again. ROM is a bugger though.

I'm currently level 170 something, I upgrade when I can and use the spare cash to get blood vials which are auto stored.

I've n very played the game online, but might give it a try to finish off some of the more pesky bosses.

Give us a shout when you're on, i'll help. I struggled my very first time, but when you realise that its the mini spiders you need to watch its pretty easy.

Probably the biggest flaw int he game for me, was the need to farm vials. Estus in DS was much better. In the end what i would do was occasionally instead of levelling up, id spend all my souls on a massive stash of vials. Also, strawberry float Rom. Jesus that boss fight drove me to the strawberry floating brink.
Best option is avoid the mini roms, and just rush in for a couple of quick hits, and run back out again. Just keep moving constantly so the spiders cant gang up on you and you stand less chance of being hit by her flail attack.

One of the most difficult? Brer. What you on about? BSB caused me more grief. strawberry float that thing. Just finished it again, with the yarnham sunrise ending. Didn't realise on my last run through I didn't kill logarius, must have rage quit, this time he went down in one attempt. No boss caused me massive grief apart from the one mentioned.

strawberry float me I love these games, I hope a sequel is announced at E3.

Rom and Blood Starved Beast were probably the two bosses that gave me the most grief in this game, well those two and perhaps the standard end boss... I'm pretty sure you can stun lock Logarius so he doesn't have a chance to get a hit in.
