There's not really any bullshit in the new areas. Some lovely lovely lovely lore (not that TWA cares), enemies and some great bosses (LM and KotC being the best)

There's none of that Frenzy nonsense.

Plus best weapon the the game! SBB!

I do! I just wish it was presented in a friendlier more digestible way. At least to a point because the sense of mystery is really important.

Find out who is right when I give the definitive verdict!

Before that I think I'm going to pop back to Mensis and make sure I've seen everything. I got a key I don't think I used. Then the lecture place as I'm sure there was one room full of blob people to kill I didn't. Also try and find out what the chuff is going on with that other door on cathedral ward. The one downstairs from the big ball and chain guy in a room full of pots. I got a cage hat from killing Microsoft so I wonder if that actually does something. I think those are the only areas I feel I can explore more.

Watched a good ninety minutes or so of TWA tackling beasts and Hunters... it was cool. The environments, sound and lighting are just so good - they combine to make tremendously evocative scenes.

:D

Right then. I tried that door in cathedral ward again. It just says closed. The only thing I can think of is that you open it from the other side but I cant find the other side. So I popped back to the lecture hall. Found a few rooms I couldn't get in before. The big hall. :dread: The framerate here was almost single digit stuff and for looooooong time. :D Luckily the enemies are piss weak by this point so it didn't really matter but lordy is was bad. Anyway, I found a ladder and got in the room with Anakin Skywalker the spider. He said some stuff. Then I went back to Mensis. After searching for a bit I found a gap in the wall, was in the starting room for the Microsoft, Host of the Server boss fight. I used the key I had. Then off I went! :D Holy gooseberry fool. :D Ad7 and Hexx were not kidding. This is how quick frenzy was building. I mean over the many attempts I noticed it was wildly inconsistent. Sometimes exposure to it for a split second was enough to fill the bar. Sometimes it was more like a full second. :D I switched to the best frenzy resistance stuff I had. Which I think meant changing one thing and a rune. :D Things improved a bit. I just did it bit by bit. Picking up items as I could. Dying. Picking up more. Dying. I eventually made it across to the room on the otherside. Here I was greeted by a singing twat. I fortunately managed to carefully clear this room first time. I found a bell that was useless to me. :D I then decided to investigate the source of the light. :D I ran in and fell through the hole in the ground. Each time I just got a bit further. Landed on the ground. Spotted the item. Spotted the hole in the wall. Then nearly got through the hole. Eventually I got through the hole. Waited for frenzy to pass and charged to the item! Finally I have found Blood Rock! :D Whoop. So I sort of felt like I cleared this bit. But then I remembered earlier on when I was higher up I could see glowing items above this bit. So I tried to figure that out. I was unsuccessful. :D I looked about next to the source of the light. Went back in the building. The only thing I found was a new lift that took me down below to the abyss where I had terrible flashbacks as I feared the dreadful Four Kings boss fight was about to happen again. :D Nothing was here. :D So I need help. Can you actually get up there?

Went to DLC land. At the mo in the battle between Hexx and Ad7 its in Hexx favour. Its cool. But I've only made it to the first major shortcut just after the NPC. However it didnt take much to turn one bit into a stupid janky mess. :D

TBH I'm struggling to follow your story

The source of the light? Have you dealt with that? Will make navigation easier...

And all that's down in the dark is, well. You. And anything you send there...

The start of the DLC is the worst but IMO with remixed maps from main bit. So if you like it now...

Mother brain? No I've not dealt with it. I couldn't lock on to it and if I ever stopped running or healing I was dead. :D Been trying to think of how I get above it. Its going to be a lift secret isn't it? My senses are tingling. I got through so much health searching last night I had to go farming again. :D

Well at first I was a little bit let down as I just arrived exactly where I was. But I think the way its been twisted is enough. Particularly the area with the blood river. It was really cool to see Hunters hunting and the beasts be terrified of me. :D

Also forgot to mention that the lady of the night I "saved" vanished. I followed a blood trail to then find she was sitting downstairs and seemingly had given birth to something. Looked like a mini slug thing from the healing church. I might pop back to the clinic and see if the same has happened to crazy lady there.

Nice. You find something new and first instinct is to try and lock on to murder it. I'd switch your thinking if I were you...

Straight up tip

Are you stuck on lifts until they get to destinations? Or can you maybe jump to new areas during the trip?

IF ONLY YOU KNEW THE LORE

IIRC Red Moon = Moon Presences is near, and it tries to be born into our world. (Or is it have a child via Surrogate? I forget)

Isofker is trying to force it to happen, sultry blood woman happened without her agreement.

It's just like how Mergo was created

You mean the very very very very suspicious man, standing by a pile of bloody corpses (wasn't he eating something?) desperate to know where more safe people where (basically salivating).

Yeah there weren't any warning signs there at all

The first time no  The second time I think I just murdered him. And this run through I'm gonna let him come back to the church and murder his ass.

Never even met this man. :D

Gonna go see if I can work out this Mensis Mother Brain thing now. See if I can buy any better anti-frenzy stuff to. :D

He was in the woods - not sure how you missed him

Don't forget the Sedative item.

I don't think you really need anti-frenzy stuff at this stafe though.

Strange..... I cant find him on the map.

Bought the crow hat and added another rune that gives +100 resist to everything hoping it stacked with the other frenzy rune. I dunno how much help it would have had yesterday but it helped a lot dealing with the singing twats today. I found the way up there (my hunch was correct :D ) and pulled the lever. Went down to check on mother brain. :D Yeah..... Then checked in at the clinic. No change at all. Still prone on the table blabbing about gooseberry fool. Then did a bit more of DLC land. Made it to the second lantern. :D Jesus christ the blood river. When the, you know, move. The one knocking on the gate. I killed that one. :D

I just walked around it for a bit. I couldn't do anything else and attacking it seemed a bit harsh given it was helpless. :D I assume you hinting that if I kill it then it will be sent back to the real world and end its dream. It wasn't doing frenzy anymore so I wonder if it was being used.

The brain is pretty important if you're bothering with the chalice dungeons because it unlocks the final boss, it can also give an item which is useful for grinding. But if you're not bothered about those then you're more or less done with it.

The man glowy and I were talking about is gone now.

Well it's a great one (ish)? Have you met any other great ones? Anything near them about communicating?

Full answer

You got the "Make Contact" emote from near Esterbras - or should have done. Try that...for a while...Then stab it :P

Are you in the game? :D

Errr.... I'm not exactly sure where the line is drawn between great ones and not so great ones. Only one I can think of is my love, the daughter of the cosmos. Or Spidertwat. There was the guy just sitting outside by Spidertwat. Unless Amygaga counts. Was Bob a great one? He was a great twat for sure.

I shall investigate.

I don't know if I'm bothering with these. I don't really know what they are. I assume they are just a more combat focused slogathon. Rather then a world to explore.
