So I decided to follow up on that invitation from the clinic last night, hitching a ride in a totally un-suspicious empty and driver-less carriage from Hemwick which took me to a very impressive looking castle in a snowy region (and then the horses froze to death which is a bit sad
). Here's me posing outside, ready for some action:

Inside there were some strawberry floating annoying crawling, spider-esque creatures that looked a bit like a mini version of Amygdala - seriously these guys can strawberry float right off. Fortunately Hexx failed to mention that the Cane/Whip is MASSIVELY OP and has a RIDICULOUSLY HUGE hitbox for it's transformed R2 attack which basically smacks down anything anywhere in a wide arc front of you for about 5m!
So having whipped those guys into shape (and dealt with some doubly annoying little worm bastards as well!) I headed into the castle to be greeted by lots of weeping ghost ladies, clearly this place went through some bad times to be this haunted! Cleared out the hallways and up through the library, eventually making my way to a rooftop where I met Martyr Logarius.
He was an interesting one, some of his arcane magic attacks were a bit annoying, and that thing he does where swords start flying around was a pain until I realised you could kill the spawner for them (dude did it behind one of the towers first time so I hadn't spotted him put it down!) Eventually I went with a fairly cautious approach - stay back, keep moving, dash in for 1 or maybe 2 hits when he's vulnerable and then get the hell away again! Took a couple of goes but now he's down:
Grabbed his crown and have revealed that there is more to explore, but called it a night at that point!
Oh and as I forgot to post it yesterday, here is the final moments of my clumsy take down of Amygdala:
