I'm looking to play Blu-rays on my PC running Windows 8.1 (64-Bit)

I've tried to get VLC to work with them but to no avail (I found a tutorial, downloaded the suggested files and put them in the suggested folders but no luck) - if anyone could offer any help getting this to work that would be awesome.

Failing that I just want a basic player, nothing too fancy. Doesn't have to be free but I wouldn't want to pay more than a tenner for it realistically. Any advice would be great.

Arcsoft Total Media Theatre?

I use it on Win 7, not sure how well it runs on 8. Its a paid product but its easy to get for free.

There is a product called MakeMKV which might be of use to you depending on exactly what you are wanting to do, obviously its not something where you can just put the disc in and play it and you'll need some storage space.
