It depends what sort of work they are in.

Should someone in the police service for instance really be allowed to be a member of the BNP while they are a serving officer.

Or a teacher.

No they shouldn't.

Being a member of the BNP, at best, means you don't much like non-British people, no-one in the public sector should hold such views.

I think there are more scary people in this country than the 4ch*n lot.

What about fundamentalist Muslims? Millitant black guys? Just your general every day thugs and hoodlums?

People on that list are in genuine danger, unlike some of you though, I'm not of the opinion that they don't deserve it.

Personally, as long as it doesn't effect how they do their jobs then I have no problem.

How can you know it doesn't effect how they do their jobs though? Do you have to wait until all the Asian kids in a class fail their GCSEs or until a copper arrests a black guy who was the victim of an assault as opposed to the perpetrator?

I don't think it is fair to say that BNP members would allow their views to interfere with their profession anymore than any other person.

Please, please state the source of b3ta's pictures. It's only fair.

As to why being a BNP member is a problem for people in positions of authority - the party actively encourages racism, which is illegal. I mean, that's a system of thought that actually thinks someone is inferior because of their race. It's weird, in this day and age, to think that people really, actually believe it, but being a member of the BNP aligns you with that thought system - hence they are not suitable to police society and should actively be discouraged from educating young minds. As is our current system.

One thing I noticed on that members list was that there was a lot of folks around 16 and under on family memberships. Ever so slightly worrying if parents are trying to force this kind of crap on their kids.

B3ta also credited for that very clever image (please don't sue!)

So where is your criticism of Christian, Jews, Muslims etc? Children brain-washed from birth to be intolerant. If you can have freedom of belief for some and not for others then surely the system is wrong?

Surely the idea that if you're religious then you're intolerant of other faiths/agnostics/atheists is also wrong? With religion it's actively encouraged in all faiths (apart from a few odious idiots who skip that bit) to be tolerant of others beliefs whereas with the BNP it's intolerance or nowt. Surely a proper teaching of religious/agnostic/atheist values is better for a child than growing up with the values of the BNP?

Erm, are you serious? Plenty of rules get made for spurious or no reason at all and to just blindly follow rules because they are rules would make protesting about anything rather hard.
