It has been a good season overall, but it still feels a bit off with the massive time jump, lack of Rothstein, and flashbacks in every episode.

I also didn't like the Chalky story at all this year, it just didn't feel like the same character.

Van Alden's end was brilliant though. After the botched robbery, the whole escape scenario was perfectly designed to look as if they would get away with it, until out of nowhere, Capone walks into the room!

Margaret has also been okay this season, which is a first!

I do really like the Luciano scenes. Him and Nucky's bodyguard R.I.P are my favourite characters this season. Young Nucky's teeth come a close third.

Well it's all over :( I thought it was a great ending. It was mostly just an hour of tying up loose ends but it was really well done. The scene with Capone and his son was beautiful. A shame there wasn't more of that in the last few seasons. As for the last 2 minutes...Goddamn, they pretend it was a red herring and then they go and actually do it with the Tommy reveal  I loved that Nucky was shot in the cheek just like Jimmy was. Great callback. I do wonder how much of it was the doing of Gillian? Did she write to Tommy to help him track down his father's killer? I guess we'll never know.

Narcisse's death was so satisfying. He had it coming.

Farewell Boardwalk Empire, you were brilliant and deserved much more praise than you got.

Phenomenal. Would have been a better ending if someone in here hadn't put the idea in my head already

In fairness it was incredibly obvious. The way he talked and carried himself alone was a giveaway.

Now that I'm not in rush for work...

I didn't see the Tommy thing coming at all, so that was a cool surprise and tied things together in a really satisfying way.
I'm still not sure the years add up, Tommy was like 3 or something when we last saw him and 7 years later he is now 17/18? :?

Young Nucky has been brilliant, and the finale he really got to put his best work in. There some interesting twists in those flashbacks and again the whole thing was very satisfying.

Favourite scene for me was Capone with his son. Just fantastic.

I still feel this season was a bit iffy overall as there were too few episodes to close off everything, combined with the massive time jump.
However, within those restrictions the writers did well and we were given a good resolution to the show.

It was great finale with a very apt ending. Really saddens me to see it end and especially when it feels like there are still so many stories they could tell in that world considering the volume of interesting characters they had at their disposal. A Capone miniseries would be amazing.
