Its water being boiled, a quick rinse and a wipe down will remove any residue, no need to waste time and energy by doing a "proper" wash.

Honest question here.
Do you wash the toaster after every use as that's way, way more likely to have harmful germs left after use than a pan full of boiling water with a few eggs in.

Next time have fried eggs and don’t bother washing up the frying pan.

That’ll teach ‘em to moan.

You should have just thrown the pan away and bought a new one.

No, but then, I have never opened a loaf of bread to see the crust have chicken gooseberry fool on it.

Get your own pan and write "Captain Disgustoid's Egg Pan" on it. Then everyone's happy.

Let the pan one upmanship commence  .

I can see a new topic in 6 months about why Jenuall is now on the verge of homelessness due to the crushing expense of buying ever more awesome pans.

The RichardUK solution.

In all honesty, I was expecting worse. The vote is almost tied at this point so I'm clearly not alone! :slol:

BID0 wrote:The egg came from a chickens bum hole and some people don't eat eggs, if it's a communal pan then it's common courtesy to clean it after you use it.

That's a sentence I never thought I'd have to type out.

I boiled the strawberry floating pan then rinsed and wiped, it's going to be cleaner than it is after most uses!

People do realise that the eggs you get in the supermarket have actually been washed right? If you've seen the state of an egg after it first comes out of a chickens bum then you'd never touch the damn things!

Also, question for the naysayers - do you wash your hands every time you touch an egg?

The other option is to put the eggs in a plastic bag first. See if the freakout guy agrees that this negates the need to wash the pan. If he does agree, then in future secretly smear your own gooseberry fool on the outside of the bag.

This is a genuine concern - I do love a good pan...

You could just buy an egg steamer.
I have one and it works a treat and uses almost no water or power.

Does it require thorough cleaning though? This is a dealbreaker for me!
