Ah ffs! :fp:

Witcher 3 was a bonus game on Monday. I added it. It's 12 PM today and they still haven't dispatched it. I was thinking it's because of holiday backlog but decided to contact them anyway. Turns out not only is it no longer a bonus game, but that it's out of stock (ergo it cannot be a bonus game) but their system is slow af at updating this info.
Now I have the two bits of DLC but no strawberry floating base game! :x :slol:

I really should have expected the rush in copies going out what with the big DLC release and so rented it as a bonus game last week. :fp: :fp: :fp:

Well, after seemingly buying *all the games* 2017 had to offer up to this point, I'm back subbing to Boomerang again. Next on the list are... Mass Effect: Andromeda and Rime.

They've also just added Uncharted expansion (already own that thanks to picking up original season pass on the cheap ), Everybody's Golf, Yakuza Kiwami (will be buying that), and Middle Earth: Shadow of War. (Will most likely not be bothering with that anywhere near launch.)

Reactivated mine fairly recently. They sent me a Gears of War 4 disc that had an epic crack in it, but still a great service.

I hope it was them and not me. I've always struggled with those plastic sleeve things, and they've changed the design :fp:

I doubt it was you, those hard plastic cases they send the games in seem pretty solid for a game rental service. Most likely it just got tossed about and crushed somewhere in a mail sorting office.

There was no real way of informing them about the disc damage. I checked their website and tweeted them but to no avail.

Back when LoveFilm was a thing they sent a former colleague of mine a scratched to strawberry float last disc of Lost Odyssey. He noted the serial number, sent it back with the tick box for a damaged disc marked and they sent him the exact same disc back.

That's my biggest issue with Boomerang, their website is incredibly naff for an online business in 2017.

They've got a Live Chat function I think though, could try that.

I will next time, if it happens.
Currently sat through a 50 gig patch and 43 gig disc install (Gears 4). The game had better be bloody worth all this fanny on.

I liked Gears 4, I think the first 2 chapters are ok, but 3 onwards is great, but it also ends rather abruptly.

I recall the MP and Horde modes getting tweaked and tweaked. Hope people are still playing it.

Fine should have been doubled for how utterly adamant they were that the fault didn't lay at their end.

Only just realised these guys are doing Switch game rentals.
For some reason they're hidden in the Wii U section rather than having their own section though, which is why I never noticed them before.
