Triple post but screw it

So I started THVM and got past second boss.

I hated this guy even on original playthrough, and I thought, he uses lighting stuff so I couldn't use my main which is electric shotgun as he'd resist that. Not to worry, I have acid/fire guns I could use. Turns out he was resisted to them... and I died two or three times. Never managed to take off his shield at all.

Decided to try electric just to see if it'll make any difference... and it turns out he doesn't resist it. What. Fighting Lighting with a lighting.... pls game.

No good loot out of TVHM yet (apart from moonstones) but it's still early to do. Might just play another character (not Fragtrap, I'll play that with best mate) and chill around online.

Does it demand you farm for Legendaries making all the loot weapons redundant? Or has it gone back to the original where Legendaries drop alot easier but aren't absolutely required to beat certain bosses?

Cause, strawberry float that, I ain't doing that farming caper again.

It's like the first game, if anything.
My backpack is constantly full because I'm doing that 'collect 50 white-quality weapons' quest, but I'm hoping to build a decent collection and try the Grinder out some more.

The boss that drops that rocket tends to drop it often, I managed to get like 7 or 8 rockets. It's not all time, but it feels the odd is bit better this time round.

I've been using the glitch to give myself better shotguns :shifty:

That's odd. I was watching a master Kizz video and he said he had only seem on legendary in his first playthrough and that in BL2 he saw a lot more.

I can confirm definitely more orange in my first play through of this than in BL2. Vending machines give good loot up to and including orange, general drops are better quality too and grinder means you can collect blues to level up to purple and then onto orange etc. much better system than hugely reduces tedious farming.

It's a shame the story and humour took such a downturn after 2. If you combined story and characters of 2 with loot and mechanics here and it would be perfect.

I think the loot was much better on BL. I've had one orange drop, but only a few purples, none of which I used as they all were gimped in some way or another.

Why do you need to farm for weapons in BL2? I've not farmed once and I'm into the DLC now after finishing the game (minus that big level 50 boss thing). In fact I've had a few of the same weapons for donkeys.

It's more for TVHM. You can get through the first playthrough easily enough with just random drops.

Ha, I know which one you're talking about. It's great shotgun though because I find the 'spread' is more tighter than my usual shotguns, the problem is though that it eats like 3 ammo per shot and its reload speed is terrible. But it's very powerful shotgun regardless.

THVM isn't too bad despite me running around like idiot, but then again my Enforcer playstyle tends to let me do that, especially with higher HP/Shield, Shield refills quicker, Sentry gives small boost to movement and rate of fire speed for 10secs and I also have that ability where if he gets downed he still walks around and when time is up he blows up, and if he takes someone down with it (or DoT attacks did) he'll be revived. :slol:

Coupled with Power Fist & Augmented Legs, it's basically my own Terminator :datass: Anyway managed to got my favourite grenade mod from BL2 in BL Pre. Makes horde of enemies go down fast.

Virtually all of Wilhelm's perks in any skill tree are mint. Tough decisions, for sure.

Think I'm about to be done with this game - gonna give it break, dunno if I want to get Lawbringer to Lv25+ first though or leave it for co-op plays. So far I've got Lv14 Lawbringer, Lv26 Fragtrap, Lv28 Gladiator and Lv50 Enforcer and I only have one achievement left to unlock.

I'll be still up for co-op games just I won't be playing it solo much until DLC comes out.

And I thought id played it a lot!

I have level 28 Athena and level 28 Wilhelm

Just started Nisha but not feeling her so far. Showdown seems good idea but looking at skill tree I don't think she will suit my play style. And the collision detection on her whip melee is awful, I barely ever hit the enemy.

Might start as Claptrap and see if he grabs me instead.

Haha, more time handing out CV or making calls maybe lol? Less time completing the game four times in 14 days haha!

Personally I didn't find the game good enough to play over and over again. In fact I didn't even finish it. Kinda bought the game as a stop gap whilst waiting for other games to play. In fact I got to a certain point and realized i'd probably enjoy playing BL2 again instead so switched to that.

It's easy to rush through BL Pre though. You don't have to take part in lot of encounters, you can just run past them & use hover to get further. There's also "hotspots" where you can spend good while levelling up before moving on.

And I couldn't make calls, I'm deaf. :P

I enjoyed BL Pre loads, though. I do love BL2 bit more but starting new character on BL2 feels forever whereabouts BL Pre it's pretty much quick.

I got to the last area in the game and the difficulty just goes through the bloody roof. It wasn't *that* good, either. Some of the quests were a bit cheap, with some of the destinations being miles apart to try and elongate them.

I'll agree with that; the last area is nightmare.

I did find that if you accept a sidequest for that area it glitches out and your shield would have really fast regeneration, if this helps. But yeah I hate that area (and one before that, actually)

I didn't find last area too bad, but I did find the enemies ate a lot of bullets before dropping. I was searching for every loot box to replenish.

I've tried again with Nisha and I'm starting to appreciate showdown, fast firing SMG and multiple enemies and it really is a great means of crowd control. However I'm finding myself getting downed a lot more as her than either Athena or Wilhelm.

Had a brief go with claptrap :dread:

I've never really liked skill trees that include negatives, or stacks especially. This seems a little too focused on ups and downs and changing game style. I would find it hard to "power" him up like the others. Wilhelm in particular has amazing skills that don't negate him. Claptrap would require a lot of skill to use him to his best.
