On a similar note does anyone remember what happened to Ottarkars?

Waterstone's bought it a few years back. I think Big Frank used to work in one, and I used to frequent the one in Glasgow before it became a Waterstone's(and shut down a few months later because there was a much bigger one about five minutes down the road).

That was a fantastic decision. But Glasgow does that with everything - there used to be about 4 GAME shops within a five minute walking distance. Currently, it's only three :fp:

Infact, one of them is inside Borders. Because when I want a game, I can't help but rush in and read a book first.

Same in Leeds, so thats 3 GAME shops a stones throw away from each other. I don't think I've ever bought anything in Borders, its good for a browse but too expensive.

Was I the only one that thought that this thread was going to be about immigration and the spiralling costs of security? :fp:

Just came up as breaking news on Sky news, it's official! They are in administration, 1,100 Jobs at risk, and at christmas, really does suck that.
