Been dipping in and out of this and have struggled to increase my credit balance. Tried to do a slaver mission, could I find a station that had any slaves? Could I bollocks!

Guess I'll have to stick to ferrying cabbages across the galaxy like all the other low-level chumps

So what's the best way to make millions fast? Been bounty hunting for ages but barely scraped 2 million together of my 30 million target for an Imperial Clipper and equipment.

Itll tell you what stations are looking for slaves or any other resource. At first i thought it was "cheating" so didnt do it, but then after hours of trying to find stations looking for Slaves i gave up and used the trading tool site. You could look for weeks on end and never find a station dealing in slaves

It's practically essential for non-trading play too given how strawberry floated the galaxy map is (it doesn't update if a system changes governments or anything like that)

Just consider stuff like that an extension of the player universe. Of course there would be services like that in a universe like elite. Imagine if we didn't have the Internet.

Xbox One owners get Elite: Dangerous now for the cheap price of £24.99

David Braben wrote:Hello Commander,

This morning in Los Angeles (the evening for our team and players back in the UK) we were thrilled to announce Elite: Dangerous will be available for Xbox One’s new Game Preview Program TODAY. Elite: Dangerous will be the first ‘early access’ game on console, and it’s a hugely exciting moment for the whole team at Frontier.

We hope you’ll join us in the Xbox One Game Preview. Elite: Dangerous will be available for Xbox One later today for the special early access price of £24.99 ($30.99 €30.99).

On Xbox One we’re introducing all-new gamepad controls, Achievements, support for Xbox Live Parties and Friends Lists, and a new controller UI layer with context menus for important actions. And this morning we’re also announcing Close Quarter Combat – instant-action PVP combat in the Elite: Dangerous galaxy for PC, Mac and Xbox One. You can play CQC first on Xbox One in the Game Preview Program next month. CQC is a new way to play Elite: Dangerous, and we’ll be testing it first with the Xbox Live community.

We’re proud to be leading the way on the Game Preview Program, and we wouldn’t be able to do it without our amazing community. Elite: Dangerous Game Preview is a true beta test on a console, and the first ever “early access” console game. Of course we’ll be optimizing the game further over the course of the Game Preview Program.

Elite: Dangerous means a lot to us. The more platforms we add the more we’re able to improve the game overall. We’ve put a lot of work into optimization already to bring Elite: Dangerous first to Mac, and now to Xbox One, with all that effort benefitting the PC version too.

We have lots more coming for our players on PC and Mac soon. For now I’m pleased to announce that if you already own Elite: Dangerous for PC and Mac, you can buy it for Xbox One and automatically receive a £5 coupon for FrontierStore.net. I'm also happy to say CQC and the new controller functions will be a free addition to PC and Mac later in 2015.

gooseberry fool. I might have to get this for therapy. I've heard it's a lot like euro truck simulator for chilling.

I think it is £10 as the expansion is out in a month or two, and I think you can just buy the expansion and it includes the first one as standard

But the expansion is around £39.99 I think.
If you just want to try it out and cruise around, a tenner is definitely a good place to jump in.

Really needs at least a gamepad if not a joystick though. Keyboard and Mouse controls are awful by comparison.

Should be fine. I use an Xbox 360 pad and don't have any issues.

You'll still need to map a few controls to the keyboard mind, but it's a lot better than keyboard/mouse combo.

Yeah I considered that for about 2 seconds.

My gf has told me I can't buy any more games than daytona for 2 quid, so I'll have to join the elite universe another day.
