I love the landing part though, I find it good fun.

I also enjoy the docking and supercruise direct control, but totally see the appeal of having the ship do it all for you.

Listening to the Elite soundtrack on Spotify at the moment, going to have to play this over the weekend now to scratch my space exploration itch.

strawberry floating finally. Even better, it looks like they'll be available for solo players and not require any specific material grinding to buy (to travel, yes but that's another matter).

Excited.

Awesome, will be great to keep all your ships in the one place and swap to whichever style suits the system you're in.

Imagine running out of fuel with it though...

Exactly! Already sweating imagining how much moolah I could make void opal mining in that thing. And yeah, it looks like the fuel will be the grindy element of the systems around it, hopefully not too grindy though.

I'm also intrigued as to what they class as "a large amount of credits". My account is currently resting at the 1 billion mark so I'm hoping it's not going to be too much more than that (what with the most expensive ship in the game current being 200 million).

I really need to get back to this on PC.

Is earning credits a bit easier than it used to be? Used to be such a massive ballache if there wasn't a community goal going on. And even then it wasn't exactly easy.

Void Opal mining. In my Krait a full load goes for about 100 million which takes about an hour and a half to grab.

Takes a while to get kitted out and used to spotting the ore heavy asteroids but once you know what you're doing it's a fairly fun activity. It's better than long haul cargo, that's for sure. I also got my Elite merchant rank through doing it.

I have been getting back in to this and realised that I need rudder pedals. I am aware I can use other methods but I simply find that a intolerable pressing remapped keys to Yaw so I need to get some rudder pedals. :shifty:

Got half an hour in on this tonight, was like I'd never been away. Landing was like riding a bike, must have muscle memory or something because I found it very easy 8-)

Accidentally fired my hard points in a station and got blown up though :slol: :fp:

A new generation ship has been found...but this one's still alive

https://www.polygon.com/2019/11/5/20950 ... ery-twitch

How amazing is that? Not only it its distance from Sol accurate, it's trajectory is even lined up. I'll be taking my Krait out there ASAP as it doesn't seem too far away from most bubble systems.

Amazing scenes.

That would explain why the ED stream last week was focusing on the generation ships.

They should blow it up and see what happens.

All console development has been cancelled. Elite Dangerous will be PC only from now on

https://www.elitedangerous.com/news/ody ... ent-update

Bit off more than they could chew with Odyssey from the looks of things. A shame, but hopefully the single platform focus will give them a bit of room to put out better stuff.
