I will most certainly be at the 2014 Commonwealth Games to ogle her if she's competing.

Ever since Giggs won it, at least. Utter joke that was.

I've been meaning to ask this for ages but kept forgetting. Seems like a good as time as any...

Was Wiggins genuinely injured or was it just his/Team Sky's way of getting him out of the way so Froome could be the main man?

Lost a lot of respect for Wiggins and how he went from I'll have no problem playing second fiddle to Froome in 2013 to the stance he took a month or so before the Tour de France (I think he wanted Team Sky to let them compete and whoever was in the best position to win the race overall would be given Team Sky's full backing).

Genuinely injured, he had a torrid time in the tour of Italy and wouldn't have been fit in time

Well, he did have to abandon the Giro because of illness.

And anyway, the way Froome attacked his team-mate last year was just as bad (and then his missus' antics on Twitter afterwards..). Froome had to be recalled by the Sports Director. Really disloyal behaviour by Froome. It was decided months before that barring mishaps or poor form, Wiggins would be the main man, because the stages suited him best.

In 2013? I thought the stages suited Froome best what with it being more mountainous this time around. That's what I kept hearing on the radio and TV anyway.

In 2012. This time round the tour suited Froome.

I meant in 2012. This year suits Froome much better, yes. The time trials were much more important last year, and that's where Wiggins has his main strength. Still, I'd be pissed too if I were the first Briton to win the Tour, and then not be allowed to defend it.

Wiggins' comments might stem from internal disagreement, as some of the higher-ups within the team maybe wanted him to try and defend it.

I haven't taken to Froome really. Wiggins was more identifiable for me.

Title changed!

Froome has zero chance of becoming a knight on the back of his win. Poor guy - I hope that for him the achievement is just as big as it was for Wiggins last year, but a nation can only win for the first time once, so the public's pretty apathetic in comparison!

Not for me, felt like a given from stage 1 and he never looked like losing it.

Enjoyed a couple of the sprints, the stage with the big split that cav won, and the first couple of stages too. Quintana was exciting to watch as well. But the race for the lead was boring as gooseberry fool

Not only a knight, but Wiggo got to ring the bell in the Olympics. Hmm, I suppose Wiggin's went on to win gold too, which help the knighthood claim.

It was a complete given last year aswell, this year had much better mountain stages too.

True, I didn't mind last year though cause I really really wanted Wiggins to win. I don't really like froome, and two years in a row of domination is boring

Having one dominant rider seems to be happening quite a lot these days. The fight for 2nd & 3rd was what really made it this year.
