Poeple who spend their Saturday's inside playing videogames, then have the audacity to call people who like (or football in general) as 'gooseberry fool'. Take a good long look at yourself!!!!

Going out to actually watch football also turns into a social event. Have a few beers, have a chat, go watch the game, then go for a beer and discuss the game with other people after. Oh unless you call talking to some 'kid' on XBOX LIVE a social event for you???!!! :fp:

Firstly it was clear to anyone who isn't a total moron that I was joking.

But since we're now running with this- at least with a game you are being challenged and 'doing' something. Watching someone else do something is just sad.

Wonder if Murray will return to the night shift at Maccies now that Wimbledon is over.

Because it was the last match. I'll catch the odd Euro / International final too. I don't 'follow' sports because I can't imagine anything more boring. Especially league sports.

That's just not true though is it? Footballers are well paid, but their wages are dictated by how much people are willing to pay to see them (whether through Sky Sports or actual ticket sales). You might not think they are worth the money but your opinion does not count as you are not paying anything towards the sport. Footballers are not even the best paid sports stars out there.

People willing to pay top dollar to see these people are probably a bit deranged. Hence the decapitation.

I'd rather not fritter my money away on that kind of rubbish. I have other kinds of rubbish I'd rather fritter it away on.

Anyway, imagine if Howard Webb did that to a player and got lynched/ killed then beheaded, all English sides would not be allowed out of UK borders, England International team would be banned from every major tournament for God knows how long. If we were hosting the World Cup next year, you could bet your arse it would be revoked.

What's Mr. Blatter and his corrupt cronies going to do about this??? Nothing...

Every losing team at next year's World Cup should be burned at the stake, or be made to engage in gladiatorial combat.
