Anyway, imagine if Howard Webb did that to a player and got lynched/ killed then beheaded, all English sides would not be allowed out of UK borders, England International team would be banned from every major tournament for God knows how long. If we were hosting the World Cup next year, you could bet your arse it would be revoked.

What's Mr. Blatter and his corrupt cronies going to do about this??? Nothing...

Every losing team at next year's World Cup should be burned at the stake, or be made to engage in gladiatorial combat.

All football fans are deranged? I think there is only one deranged person currently in this conversation.

You seem to be missing the point spectacularly here. You don’t want to waste your money on football and guess what? You don’t have to! Other people do and the accumulation of all that money goes towards paying the players. That’s how the football “market” works and it makes no difference how much people whine about the players being overpaid or about how “that money would pay for nurses!!”.

Football fans who put up with the stupidly high ticket prices are pretty thick and probably need mental help and a 'how to spend money not stupidly' class, yeah.

I don't waste money on football, and I don't think that anyone interested in it should have to either. I'm not saying that they shouldn't be able to, I'm saying that ridiculous ticket price mark-ups, stupidly expensive merchandise, should be made cheaper across the board, which would help to lower players' salaries and allow consumers to spend money elsewhere, helping the overall economy. And hell, the whole league structure thing that puts certain teams/players on top forever and crushes every other team's dreams, that should go too, as it only exacerbates the aforementioned price thing. Just do it like how America does its American Football leagues, so every big town/city team has a shot rather than just a couple of oligarchical superteams.

I think if anything this thread vindicates the comments made about football fans

EDIT: I shouldn't have posted that without reading past the second page :dread: :fp:

Both sides look like a bunch of cocks if I'm honest. I don't want to associate with either of them.

I have to say, from the perspective of someone who isn't into Football the fans certainty appear deranged. It's not just the money it costs, it's the whole culture.

People, often overweight and not sporty themselves 'support' an arbitrary sports team, which might not even be in their local area. This team most likely isn't even made up from people from that area. Yet somehow these 'fans' feel attached to this random group of people and some sense of joy and accomplishment when they win? Or anger and sadness when they lose? Not that winning even matters as it all starts over again in a month or so in some kind of cyclical vortex of insanity.

That's before you get onto the epic spreadsheets worth of useless facts and figures the fans seem to know.

The above post, unless specifically stated to the contrary, should not be taken seriously. If the above post has offended you in any way, please fill in this form and return it to your nearest moderator.

The FIFA aren't doing anything about it because:

Its an amatuer game being playing. Thus it's not official.

Also don't forget that this ref lost his head first (lol) BY STABBING A PLAYER with a knife because the player refuse to leave the field after being sent off. There is no security at all.

He's just putting his head on the chopping block (lol).

It is a disgusting crime and what all you are doing? It's not a football matter but an actual violent crime. Please lock this train wreck of a thread and hung your heads in shame (lol).

Deranged is the wrong word but like a lot of things it certainly appeals to an illogical part of the huma brain. If football fans were as deranged as Alvin is attempting to smear them as, these sort of incidents would be much more frequent, especially considering the hundreds of millions of people who have an interest in the game.

Plural? Hardly. We had an argument about footballers in which I set you right before about footballers and their apparent worthiness of their pay packet and yet here you are banging the same drum again. It appears it's not just your posts in the pics and gifs thread that are terrible and repetitive.

Speaking of which, what happened to the North Korea national team after the last World Cup?

I think people are forgetting that the ref was decapitated because he stabbed (and murdered) another man (while his family watched).

Once again, you do not know what you are talking about.

Who the hell are you to call people thick for spending money on things they want to spend money on? This is not just football, have you seen the prices for cricket matches? Formula One? Do you know how much it costs to go to a decent golf course? Just because you are not interested in any of that, does not make the people who are “thick” or “deranged”. How much do you think you spend per year on computer games? I would imagine there are people here who happily spend £500 or more on games per year. A lot of football fans will pay similar amounts for a season ticket as a gamer would spend on games. The only difference is one of them you enjoy, the other you don’t. And your opinion is not important.

Lowering football prices would help the overall economy? We should have football like the American Football leagues? :fp:

So I accuse you of being dull and repetitive and your answer is to copy my post.

For a start not every team has ridiculously high ticket prices. Paying £30 to watch a football match is no different to paying the same price to go to watch a top comedian or a band. The price of the tickets and cost of merchandise doesn't just pay the players, it pays the wages of everyone working at the club.

A lot of the African and South American players send a certain percentage of their wages home to help out their family and the local area to help build schools and hospitals. Also these players are in the highest tax band meaning they are putting a hell of a lot into helping the economy. If they were paying less the economy would be in a worse state than it is currently in.
