It’s just the metropolitan elites picking on us and not letting us build their aeroplane wings.

They’ll soon find out that they need us more than we need them when their planes wont take off.

That Wetherspoons plank must have been on QT last night and he dismissed the airbus thing as untrue. What a wab.

Airbus themselves directly employ 14,000 people in the UK.
It's also estimated that their supply chain employs a further 110,000 people.

It's nothing that exciting I'm afraid.

He will walk between his pubs all day, I worked in the Wimbledon pub and he came in after walking from Fulham Broadway and then he started complaining that we weren't competing with all the pubs he walked past on his way over, even though those pubs were three miles away. He spends a lot of time talking to the regulars when he comes in, which they love. The way he talks he odd, I can't really describe it other than he uses words like 'groovy' a lot. When he comes in he's always nice to all the staff but will send in some other bloke to knock heads if he doesn't think the pub is run well enough.

He also sends weird emails to all the pubs. He sent one saying he was thinking of all of use and that we should have a groovy day but then it said that he was currently standing on top of the Empire State Building in New York and had dictated it through his secretary.

Oh, I forgot, he has a tendency to wander off mid conversation. Sometimes he'll get half way through a sentence stop and then just walk off to strike up a conversation with somebody else.

Didn't he say a while ago that he never said Brexit would leave us in a better financial position. The guy just says what every he feels like at that moment and assumes most people will forget his last statement as his position shifts.

That Tim fella seems a bit eccentric. There's a lot to be said for speaking to your customers though.

Good old Sir Nige, if he was Prime Minister then it would be a roaring success, instead that secret ReMOANer May has sold us all out with her treachery.

Oh if only Nigel was in charge, it would have been beautiful.

I'm not sure how soon the Airbus thing would come about. Remember, manufacturing things like aeroplane wings is kind of complex and setting up a new production site would be time consuming and expensive. I'm not saying they wouldn't move but it is not feasibly for them to do it by march next year. I also don't think the EU is going to let Airbus suffer a massive slowdown and production given how many jobs around the EU are dependent on it, so the chances are there will at least be some interim deal. Nevertheless, it's still worrying in the long term.

Protesting going on in London today.
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-44575929

Meanwhile in the Sun, Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson warned the prime minister not to allow "bog roll Brexit" that is "soft, yielding and seemingly infinitely long" - calling for a "full British Brexit" instead.

How does Boris Johnson get away with talking utter gooseberry fool like this?

Probably because he would challenge for leadership with the full backing of Brexiters (conviently ignoring how he pussied out running for it when Cameron left)...

Because he’s gotten away with it for years and it’s too late to stop him now.
