I think that’s our only hope, but part of me is now so negative about the whole thing that I’d half expect a Farage led UKIP to win a GE and declare war on France.

Imagine the volume of gammon jizz up and down the country if they finally had the chance to sport are troops in a glorious Third World War.

It wouldn’t be a world war, it’d be a return to the glory days of Agincourt! Once more unto the breach dear friends, once more!

Thing is I don't think there's enough time left now. The clock has well and truly been run down, I can't see how there can be a vote on the deal in Parliament AND a General Election AND another referendum all before mid-March.

I’d imagine the EU would be happy to put an extension on Article 50 if we wanted to run a final referendum.

A can kick seems a little bit inevitable at the moment. I think theres not going to be a deal ready and they'll be too much pressure to not just bomb out from business etc. They will want more assurances than 'lol, I dunno'.

Of course, if Corbyn becomes PM in this hypothetical election, then I don’t think we’ll get any final referendum. He wouldn’t want it and neither do people like Emily Thornberry.

I don't think we should have ANY more general elections. The people already decided in 2017 that they wanted Theresa May to hold a minority government propped up by the DUP and not holding to that would be deeply anti-democratic.

I'd kinda hate a new election because I'd have to work out who I'm meant to vote for. :dread:

Recent history provides two extreme examples of government incompetence. Decisions made by people who had no idea what they were doing. Elected politicians incapable of paying attention to details.

The blanket guarantee provided by the Irish government to banks and the British guarantee of “no hard Border” have eerie similarities: poor decisions made by people who were operating way out of their league. Making stuff up as you go along. Taking decisions based on mental tosses of a coin, saying stuff before engaging the brain: all this is the currency of modern policy-making. The advent of artificial intelligence is welcome: any form of intelligence would be an improvement.

Politics requires never admitting to anything. Never own up to mistakes, never ever say ‘I don’t know’ or ‘I’m not sure’. Say anything you like – anything at all, any old rubbish will do – but never show weakness. As John Wayne said, never explain, never apologise.

Was anyone shocked this week when UK Brexit secretary Dominic Raab inadvertently acknowledged that he is an idiot? Talking about Brexit’s impact on the availability of stuff in shops, he was quoted as saying that he hadn’t realised that Dover was important to British trade.

“I hadn’t quite understood the full extent of this....but if you look at the UK, at how we trade in goods, we are particularly reliant on the Dover-Calais crossing....”

Amusement under late capitalism is the prolongation of work.

Labour's Shadow Brexit Secretary is now directly contradicting Corbyn,

Its a seat that has now flipped three ways. Most often Lib Dem, often Conservative, now Labour.

It was grievously mishandled, though. No contingencies in case of a very close vote, very hastily organized, and the Leave campaign was putting out lies and propaganda daily through the right-wing press, while violating campaign finance laws.

It was a complete gooseberry fool show and the results should be voided as a result.

Just like Jacob Rees Might he seems happy to wreck this country's economy in order to carry out his revolution. Both are equally insane.

Yeah they different sides of the same coin.

They are both ideologically driven and the means justify the end as they will be able to create their dream world.
