Bet they'd miss their pensions, though. May should take them instead.

Christ. In a no-deal Brexit, Javid would want to suspend environmental regulations, workers' rights and auto-enrolment in workplace pensions - that'd go down great :dread:

Didn't you get the news, it's going to be a socialist workers paradise, they just need to work out how to win an election and everything will be gravy. :fp:

If it comes to it I would rather live in Singapore on the Thames than Venezuela on the Thames.

You may get both in quick succession.

I actually applied for a job in Denmark this morning. Not expecting anything but I want to try and apply for a few things out of the country while I still can.

I wouldn't want us to be like Singapore (my girlfriend is from there) or Venezuela, but I think we could strike a better balance than our current path, which seems to me to be too heavily in favour of big business and the wealthy over the Tory years while many of us and our services are clearly still struggling.

If the Tories finally see sense and call a second referendum Corbyn is finished. Good job an all, as he’s a moral cretin. Big ‘if’ though.

The only way they'd be a second referendum is if a ton of MPs rebel and force one through.

If there is a second referendum then I think it will be the Tories that are finished. It would absolutely destroy their party and I think it's probably the one way to guarantee a Corbyn government, which personally is what I want to see.

Tom Watson tells Corbyn: ‘We must back members on new Brexit vote’

Labour must be ready to throw its full support behind another referendum on Brexit, its deputy leader Tom Watson says today, as a new poll shows 86% of party members want the British people to be given a final say on the UK’s future relationship with Europe.

I'm sure that Corbyn will fully listen and take onboard the views of such a drastic majority of his party.

I'm not connecting the dots sorry

Labour were on a decline with pro EU leaders in recent GEs. The pro EU candidates lost twice in recent leadership elections. What would make Photek think replacing Corbyn with a pro EU leader would help Labour cake walk a general election?

We might as well be in a different age politically. Let's see how well Milliband would do now in the context of Brexit and May, he would stroll into power. You to me are comparing apples and oranges.

“What comes out of conference I will adhere to. But I’m not calling for a second referendum. I hope we will agree that the best way of resolving this is a General Election.

“But I was elected to empower the members of the party. So if conference makes a decision I will not walk away from it and I will act accordingly.”

Interesting. How are they deciding on this at the conference though? I've not seen any mention of a vote on this at the conference.

Yeah this is how I see it. It's pointless talking about pro EU labour leaders failing at recent GEs as they were up against pro EU Tory leaders.

Bit of a tangent, but I remember there being a great website which pretty much mythbusted all the anti EU propaganda - can anyone point me in the right direction?

I vaguely recall it being quite a basic site in appearance - perhaps with links directly in reference to newspaper headlines over time.

Corbyn toppling May used to seem like a glorious dream. Now I just picture Professor Farnsworth and Mom going at it like rabbits.

I never thought we'd see Corbyn say that. Is there any possibility of a GE with a Lab/LD coalition for a people's vote?
