Fake news from those well known ReMOANers at the CIA. :x

Just believe in Britain and it will all be fine.

I need to stop talking the country down.

Yes please, I'd prefer not to have to leave my place of employment and country of residence because of the actions of racists

Asked if his assessment was a polite way of saying no to the proposals, Barnier replied: “You’ll find I’m always polite.”

Epic burn.

There is not really such a thing as "EU citizenship" because the EU is not a sovereign nation and thus cannot have citizens. Citizenship implies unconditional right of abode, which citizens of EU countries do not have in any country bu their own. It's more accurate to call it "EU member citizenship" as being the citizen of an EU members grants you those rights.

Talking about 'being stripped of citizenship' is just hyperbolic nonsense and doesn't do the argument for remaining in the EU any good. That argument should be based on overwhelming burden of factual evidence that favours remaining. Over-emoting and sentimentality only play into the hands of those seeking to undermine the cause.

Yeah that’s not true.

Article 20 (1) of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union states that: "Citizenship of the Union is hereby established. Every person holding the nationality of a Member State shall be a citizen of the Union. Citizenship of the Union shall be additional to and not replace national citizenship."

http://www.lisbon-treaty.org/wcm/the-li ... le-20.html

You might find it sentimental, most of us find it one of our fundamental rights that is being stripped away.

And appealing to sentimentality is one of the biggest reasons for how Leave won. There’s no reason for Remain not to do it.

it may not be the same kind of citizenship as a national one but the phrase "EU citizenship" still refers to a well-defined and understood concept that people are genuinely upset about losing

pretending you don't understand what phrases mean is just hyperbolic nonsense and doesn't do the argument for whatever weird point you're trying to make any good

It’ll be 50 years before we can judge Rees-Mogg and his ilk.

I wouldn’t expect him to be the sort that would resign, but it’s very telling he wouldn’t commit to doing it.

The problem is someone like Mogg would still insist Brexit was a success even if the economy tanks, their are huge job losses and chaos at the borders as he will insist that the successful part is that we got our country back.

Yeah I agree, he will be claiming it just hasn't come good yet but the down turn is worth it for the potential and opportunity we now have. Also it will be every other countries fault.

To be fair he says it’ll take 50 years.

So at least our grand/great grandchildren will be ok.

We could be back in the EU by then, lol. Most of the people who voted for Brexit will be in the ground.
