No, the first referendum was in 1975. Remain won.
Then Leavers spent a few decades gaslighting the country into believing the EU was the EUSSR and demanding another vote because they didn't respect the original decision.
They finally got their wish for a second referendum in 2016 and told the country how wonderful Brexit would be and how there were no downsides.
They now think that overturning referendums is an awful thing and don't want to ever hold another one as it is undemocratic to ask people the question again.
