It’s because he has around 80 hard Brexit supporting MPs behind him. May doesn’t have a majority and is propped up by 10 DUP MPs. If Labour vote against her and Rees-Mogg’s merry men rebel, then she can’t get anything through Parliament.
While obviously disastrous and not at all desirable, it would be strawberry floating hilarious if the Tories finally managed to agree on a plan that was acceptable to the EU and then one of the Belgian regions vetoed it.

If they can, everyone should start shovelling as much of their savings as they can into stocks and shares. Holding in cash is a really bad idea right now due to pending devaluation of the pound.
