It seems foolish to be optimistic in light of all this, but strawberry float, the alternative to remaining in the EU is such a clusterfuck of insanity I can only believe that Brexit will be called off. Sorry, racists, xenophobes and morons.

Wales voted out so that’s a big jump in support for the EU!

Again, I don't want to gooseberry fool on anyone's cornflakes but it's a poll of just 1446. Assuming it's proportional with the size of the UK that's less than 100 Welsh people polled.

How many people have turned 18 over the past two years and how many stupid, nasty old racists have died? Apparently, nowhere near enough to make this a much bigger majority of sane people.

I would love another vote and would be fairly confident that remain would win, but I still can't see it happening sadly.

Also not sure if anyone has seen this yet:

This is why May as much as shes had some disatrous moments isn't the worst person to be PM. She clearly planned full alignment (BRINO) only for to be pole-axed, so its very possible she could go towards a second referendum. The odds continue to fall on it.

What's a minimum good sample size for you?

That Farage video has the most epic brainfart in it. He just has nothing.

It's Daniella of Maidstone's little "...hello?" that makes it.

I don't have an actual figure in mind, but do you not think it seems small? Especially considering the widespread media coverage it's receiving about a shift in the public opinion.

Aren't all polls pretty much done with a sample of just over 1,000 people?

That sample of people isn't unusual if chosen correctly (in this case it's Sky's own customer base), as it should be weighted to be in line with the demographic make-up of the UK.

On past results, Sky's data does tend to differ from the likes of YouGov and Ipsos however in regards to gulf, but generally is in-line in terms of showing where the country is leaning when compared with other pollsters.

We know for example based on an overall picture the majority of the population thinks the government is doing a bad job with Brexit.

That's fine as an overall picture, but when you start breaking it down it starts to look a little shaky. Using the earlier example, if they've surveyed less than a hundred Welsh people it doesn't really qualify as an accurate picture of Wales, does it?

Polls are gooseberry fool basically. I don't like using them as proof of anything, in regards to Brexit.
