If there was a second brexit vote there is no way to ensure the remain would win. As the other side would lie harder than last time and the press would push their own anyone EU stance.

I would suggest that the youth vote would be significantly higher second time around.

It would also be much much harder to convince the general person as they can see hat is happen it's less hyperthetical.

Then we leave but the vote would be fine an actual deal so that's that the dick heads strawberry floated it into oblivion we go.

I would be okay with it. People can make an informed decision on it now. They couldn't at the time of the referendum.

I agree. A second leave result would of course be galling but it would be much easier to accept than the farce that was the original referendum.

Overall it would still be a complete joke because these things should be decided by democratically elected professionals, not by every man and his dog including racist, evil morons with the intelligence of a turd that has been run over by a train, but there's no other way out at this point!

You do remember the previous referendum? Unless some kind of national bullshit filter is going to be installed then I'd expect campaigns to be very similar except with an extra slice of 'we wanted our deal but those bullies in the EU wouldn't let us have it'. I do want a 2nd referendum but it's got the potential to be absolutely toxic.

If there was a second referendum and everyone voted exactly the same then remain would win this time* just because of the older Brexit voters dying and young people voting remain.

*Assuming the referendum took place in mid-January or later.

Anyone of retirement age shouldn’t get a vote. It’s basically got nothing to do with them anyway.

Maybe we should work on convincing older people in mostly Leave areas that they should boycott an undemocratic second vote
