From a different forum I sometimes read.

We should just follow WTO rules

You want to follow Azvedo’s rules instead of the EU rules?

I'm not sure why you brought up Azvedo. I'm not sure why you are bringing this argument up?
You do realise there is a number of unelected bureaucrats in the EU right?

You want us to follow WTO rules because you feel the EU are not democratically accountable and you are not clear why I brought up the unelected Director of the WTO?

Excuse me? Why are you stating my thoughts and feelings as if they are facts? Supposed I should be used to it as that's what you remainers do, tell us leavers what are thoughts and feelings are because we are nothing but peasants to you remainers.
I've not got any particular reason why I voted leave apart from I wanted to force a change and to show people like you, that I do have a voice. You can't tell me what to think or feel.

It’s genuinely fascinating to watch a Leaver being questioned. They always seem to fall into the same pattern.

Step 1: Deny that they ever listened to Johnson or Farage, or that they voted for xenophobic reasons, “I voted for my own reasons!”.

Step 2: Refuse to tell anybody what those reasons are.

Step 3: Finally break down and tell people that you voted because: The EU are corrupt!/The EU is undemocratic!/I just want WTO rules!/Too many brown people in Tesco!/The EU is turning into a superstate!/We should control our own destiny!/Merkel let all the Muslims in! (delete as applicable).

Step 4: Accuse “Remainers” of calling them stupid and/or racist and rant about how Remainers look down and patronise all Leavers and that’s why they voted to Leave.

Step 5: Insult everyone and/or storm away in a huff.

None of that was me, I don't post on that forum. It's a football forum and I don't lower myself to actually talk to those plebs.

The UK media groomed the country for decades.

https://blogs.ec.europa.eu/ECintheUK/eu ... a-z-index/

Decades of that horseshit and then a Leave campaign that promised unicorns. It's no wonder people were duped. In fact the biggest surprise is that only 52% voted to Leave.

Hopefully the scales have now dropped from peoples eyes and they can see that they were lied to. But I am not holding my breath.

It seems to me its a divide between the middle class, who really don't understand the struggles and desperation the working class have been feeling for a long time now. It's a very complex situation and people continually forced into lives of poverty will take dramatic action if it is a choice on a ballot paper.

A Christmas of Uncertainty for all too enjoy.

As an aside, last saturday night I was playing PUBG with some randoms, ended up in a squad with a Norwegian guy and a London dude...we all got on very well then the London guy started banging on about immigrants, then when another guy joined us who had very broken english (no idea where he was from) the English guy team killedjhim and said "if only we could do this in real life eh?" He knew I was Irish and other guy was Norwegian so I've no idea what response he was expecting. Anyway, he's blocked now...weirdo.

Wow, the subtitles on BBC News just misinterpreted "the Republic of Ireland" as "the Republic of violent rape".

The live subtitles on news channels gets something wrong in almost every sentence but that's one of the most extreme I’ve seen in a while.

That is what they will be called if they don’t leave the EU with us.

We're not allowed to talk about the debt now the economically competent Tories are making it insanely massive. We're only allowed to bring it up when Labour are in power, even if the debt is smaller. Any newspaper editor will be happy to confirm this.

Gary Lineker has been accused of breaching BBC guidelines and told to 'keep his political views to himself' as fellow former sports stars joined the Brexit Twitter spat the ex-footballer began with Peter Shilton.

Gary Lineker earlier called out his 'hero' and England legend, Peter Shilton, over Brexit last night after the former goalkeeper praised Jacob Rees-Mogg.

The Match of the Day host, 58, also told former teammate Chris Waddle to 'stick to football' when he said it would be best if Theresa May left the EU with no deal.

But a BBC colleague, former cricketer Jonathan Agnew, who presents Test Match Special on BBC5 Live, then joined the debate and accused Lineker of breaching the corporation's strict guidelines on publicly expressing political views.

He tweeted this afternoon: '@GaryLineker Gary. You are the face of BBC Sport. Please observe BBC editorial guidelines and keep your political views, whatever they are and whatever the subject, to yourself. I’d be sacked if I followed your example. Thanks.'

Lineker has rebuffed criticism of his outspoken political stance in the past by saying he is a freelancer and so does not have to abide by the BBC guidelines.

In February last year when he was told by a Twitter user that as a BBC employee he should not comment on politics he replied: 'I'm freelance and I'll talk gooseberry fool about whatever I like on my twitter feed, thanks.'

Tonight the BBC confirmed that as Lineker is not involved in any of the corporation's political coverage he is free to express his political opinions without it affecting his impartiality on MOTD.

A BBC spokesman told MailOnline: 'Gary is not involved in any news or political output for the BBC and as such any expression of his personal political views does not affect the BBC’s impartiality.'

Last month Mr Lineker, an outspoken Remainer, appeared at a 'People's Vote' rally calling for a second referendum and has said stopping 'frightfully boring' Theresa May's Brexit is more important to him than football.

Mr Shilton, who played for Mr Lineker's beloved Leicester City, tweeted: 'Have been so impressed with @Jacob_Rees_Mogg in the last few days. He really knows what he is talking about and puts it across in a calm and calculated manner!'

Gary Lineker responded to him and said: 'What's that old saying? You should never see a tweet from your heroes?'.

Former England midfielder Peter Reid also replied to Mr Shilton's tweet and said: 'I'll agree to disagree on that one Goalie. He's (JRM) loopy, doesn't know his arse from his elbow'.

Fellow 1990 World Cup hero Chris Waddle also got involved in the Brexit debate and said: 'Well done Theresa May, now let's leave Brexit with no deal we will be fine'.

Friend and former teammate Lineker then replied: 'Stick to football', to which Waddle's supporters replied: 'That's rich coming from you pal'.

After Jonathan 'Aggers' Agnew entered the debate, former England batsman Mark Butcher criticised the commentator for not making his criticism of Lineker through a private channel.

He tweeted in reply to Agnew: 'I’m sure this is a friendly piece of advice from a colleague, Aggers? Perhaps an e mail or a DM would have done the trick?'

Another Twitter user pointed out the irony of his public post.

Former England cricket captain Michael Vaughan also waded into the Brexit discourse when he suggested Britain needed a 'no-nonsense' Donald Trump-style leader.

If Andrew Neil can spout political views, I see no reason why Lineker can’t.
