I thought about going but I'm still not feeling great. Should have gone really.

Watched the BBC's report on the march just now - they said tens of thousands are marching, showed some aerial footage, a BBC journalist pointed out that the government has ruled out another vote, then they cut to Farage telling us the country just wants to get on with Brexit and MPs shouldn't betray the public. No interviews with anyone marching or leading the campaign.

Fintan O'Toole has been writing some interesting stuff in the Guardian and Irish Times:
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... rn-ireland

He has them bang to rights. The attitude of leavers in general perfectly encapsulates the historic entitlement and arrogance of the mainstay of English nationalism. Supposed 'patriots' who despite reporting to love their country are all but completely ignorant of its history and place within geopolitical landscape it played such a pivotal role in creating, coupled with a complete dismissal of responsibility for their legacy. People for whom 'Britain' and the 'UK' are only important as a means of inflating their sense of self-worth and have no solitarily with the other nations of their so-called "precious union".

As a remainer and someone from Chesterfield I can honestly say I'm ashamed that people from my home town would stoop to this. It's absolutely disgusting to make light of something so serious for cheap political point scoring.

Please do not post this in the "No Context" thread

The march is the lead story on the BBC News website. It's the lead on the BBC homepage. It's the most read story on the BBC News website. It's been on the 24 hour news channel all day. It's been on BBC Breakfast. It's on the app. It's on the radio. Countless quotes from people from all over the country. IT'S EVERYWHERE.

So it should be, massive turnout. I timed it terribly but still managed to attend the tail end of it, had errands to run for others that couldn't wait beforehand but felt obliged to go along and show my support.

The point wasn’t that there was no or little coverage on the BBC, they point was that the coverage that they did have was punctuated with Farage giving his view.

It’s always bloody Farage. A known racist liar given yet another opportunity to spread his propaganda.

At least Johnson and Rees-Mogg don’t have 7 failed Westminster elections behind them.

Farage was briefly featured because he was leading the pro Brexit rally from Leave Means Leave in Harrogate.
