I recall there was research a few years ago that found the Scottish accent was the most soothing and conciliatory. I think that's why BT and Sky have call centres there (everyone I spoke to when I was with Sky was Scottish).
I was dead against BT for a long time as they gave me a refund for a product I bought from their online shop and I had to threaten them with a solicitor for them to actually give me the money back
Virgin Trains are weird, East Coast is in India, West Coast is in the UK...
