Then one in Leeds?

I know a chef who went there about a month ago and said it was gooseberry fool.

Yeah the one in Leeds. Might give it a miss then.

I like Byron, not much fuss just a good quality burger. It helps that they do great milkshakes.

I'm starting to think Leeds can't make burgers?

Not been to Byron but I hear decent things. Pretty much from CK said above.

There's an Almost Famous in Leeds. Leeds folks should just go there.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

When I went to the Trinity Kitchen in Leeds a couple of weeks ago pretty much everything there was a burger. I had a pulled pork bun in the end which was really good, seems as though there's plenty of good options for a burger if you want one.

Looking them up it's not too far from the office. Might give them a try tomorrow night on my break.

Trinity kitchen is ok, but stuff there tends to be overpriced for what you get.

Had an awesome burger this week. Proper 100% beef, no onion shite mixed in with the beef. Cooked perfectly, still a bit pink inside. Not too thick but not too thin either.

The only downside, the place is just slightly out of the way.

Went to Five Guys in London yesterday. Very expensive but damn, that was a tasty burger.

Had my first Five Guys a few days ago, Edinburgh branch. Was pretty good like, decent size (hamburger) but didn't actually find it that filling. Also was about £7 IIRC and didn't really feel it was worth so much extra cost when it's still basically a fast food joint.

Chips were expensive too but did really enjoy the spicy stuff on them whatever it was.

Also had my first Five Guys recently. Slightly over priced for what you get but pretty tasty, especially the mountain of chips. Had a 'mare though and didn't realise you had to ask for pickle etc on them :fp: .

Some selection of juice too, most I've never even seen. Grape Fanta was most delightful.

Had a burrito burger at Chiquitos yesterday, burger in toasted burrito with jalapenos and chipotle mayo. Burger itself wasn't great but as a whole was rather nice.

Have any of the Glasgow folk mentioned Bread Meats Bun yet? Had one a few weeks ago after a long night out, Jesus God it was superb. Truly brilliant burger. Tasty ass sweet potatoes covered in honey or whatever it was too. Expensive but so worth it.

I went with my brother, Banjanjo and Parkreiner a few weeks back and we were all pretty impressed by the burgers. Except Parkreiner, who is a vegan. The sweet potato chip things were bloody fantastic as well.

Yeah, it's quality. I keep meaning to try their lunch menu but at the same time not try it, if you know what I mean?

I have no idea what you mean Henke.

Not even got that great reviews on tripadvisor, I'm surprised. I got one with a big slab of beef covered in some fancy cheeses and pulled pork. God I want one again right now.

Glad this has been bumped..

Had a terrible burger last night.
The fox and hound pub in theale.

The brioche bun was enormous but the burger inside was tiny. There must have been about 15mm of space the entire way round the edge of the burger. And there was too much onion marmalade. It was far too sweet.

And they refused to cook it pink. First warning bell there.

Gutted.

You know what I loved about Five Guys? It was a traditional greasy American burger and the fries were great.
Also, the logistics of eating it were way better than most. Can not stand having a massive burger that I can barely fit into my gob. Five Guys was squished. Just how I like it. The lettuce was fresh. The bacon was hella crispy. The meat was juicy. The chips, Jesus, the chips. Pro-tip, go for a small unless you're sharing.

I went Honest Burger in Brixton.

Quite disappointed. Chips were decent but the burger wasn't comparable to the dead hippie burger at Meatliquor or the Ari Gold burger at Patty & Bun.

In hindsight, I should have gone Chickenliquor in the other section of Brixton Village.
