They did a update to fix this in original versions - you can now restart the last race

I am surprised they let the original go back compat on Xbox 1 especially if it does go multi format. Runs lovely on X1

Loved Takedown and Paradise. Hearing Paradise City still reminds me of the latter. I loved the real-time clock. I used to play in the evenings and loved cruising around while the sun set in the game and in real life.

Just felt good.

Reinstalled this tonight and it's still great fun. I rarely take the shortcuts in the races though as they seem to be more trouble than they're worth. Sometimes they'll end up taking you off course so it just seems much easier to stay on the main road and blast the boost.

If there's little difference visually between remastered + original PC release (which still looks and runs great), the only meaningful improvement will be the Big Surf Island DLC...ie free content that should've been there in the first place :/

Still great on the console side of things, a friend of mine will be very happy. But aye a Switch version seems a no brainer, this would be an ace portable game

Really missing a beat by not releasing this on Switch, but yeah looks like it's going to be much better than recent Need For Speed games, so yeah I'm sold.

I would have rathered a Burnout Revenge remaster, or a whole new Burnout, but hell, i'll take this as it's been forever since i last played one of these games.

It will probably be the best racer of the generation! If it was £20 it would be an insta-buy for me.

I think I remember reading somewhere that EA were against remasters so I'm wondering if this is their first? They certainly would have made some money with Mass Effect or Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic remasters.

Fired this up on the X1 and it runs perfectly. Will get this when reduced on PS4. It's so much more fun than the recent NFS's.

Looking at that trailer it’s worth £25 tops, if that. Clearly this isn’t a Sony-level remastering.

£35 is just an easy profiteering exercise. On one hand I hope it sells enough that EA bring Burnout back, but this doesn’t deserve to do well.

You look at the amount of work that’s gone into Shadow of the Colossus and Crash Bandicoot...and then EA.
