I really need help.

I'm one of those guys that hasn't bought my own clothes and has been wearing the same wardrobe for years. But everything is wearing out and I'm in dire need of some style.

Where is the best place to order clothes online? Honestly, I have no idea if I should be using places like Topman/Debenhams or if that's all tat and I should be using something else.

I'm absolutely pathetic

I usually just go to a shopping centre and wander about until I've bought something.

It doesn't always work and yes it involves going out, but I'm quite tall/long so I never buy anything online unless it's a T-shirt.

So far this year, I have eaten NO mince pies.

I try not to be that stereotype who buys everything in Next, but after an hour of browsing various other shops in town I always give up and... end up in Next.

...and what's the urgency? The baby's going to be sick all over you anyway.

Is that a euphemism?

I just shop online once a year, usually before a main holiday. Refresh a load of tshirts, pants, socks, shorts, trousers. I then bin the old stuff. Anything else is usually a gift for a birthday or something.

Yeah, same. Sometimes I try looking at something like Asos online and quickly conclude I'm way too old for that gooseberry fool.

I'm currently wearing two pairs of jeans on rotation so I at least need to get some more trousers quickly. Otherwise I'll be going to work in my Harrier Du Bois disco pants!

I'm kind of relieved to hear you're all as hopeless as I am.

H&M are a good bet in my experience, you can get most of your basics there for very reasonable prices.

If you like T-shirts with American cities listed on them, I think peacocks will have you covered.

I think my wardrobe currently consists of Ralph Lauren shirts, Nike polo shirts, and variations of Berghaus/North Face fleeces. That's it. Every scenario sorted for the rest of my life, that is.

Shoes: cherry red DMs or black Adidas trainers (might need new trainers tbf as after 35 years of ignoring my mum's advice to not put shoes on like slippers and actually undo the laces I've finally strawberry floated up the back of a pair of trainers...)

Trousers: got a selection of smart work trousers/chinos but only wear them when I'm not in my new clinic uniform now. In terms of jeans I have John Lewis, Boden and Gap jeans in various states of wear and tear. The Gap ones now have a possibly trendy 90s hole in the knee which I'm not sure is actually fashionable and gets bigger every time I put them on and jam my foot through it :fp: . I have short legs which used to make buying jeans really difficult but now I just buy on waist measurement and do a really tight roll on the bottom of the legs to hide the extra. I find my jeans tend to rip in the crotch (got a big dick lol) so I've started taking them to a local tailor for repairs instead of buying new ones - it's significantly cheaper and more sustainable.

Shirts: again I have some button up shirts for work but I don't wear them that often as I'm in uniform a lot now. I've got fuckloads of t-shirts and probably need to throw a good few away. Does anyone else get that strawberry floating gross armpit stink that doesn't go away even after washing the garment? It's really annoying because the shirt is usually in an otherwise good condition.

Dettol Laundry Sanitiser would be my suggestion.

I've been buying most of my tee's from Superdry, they usually do 3 for £50 on plain but nice coloured t-shirts and are really good quality. I've had some of them for years and they still come out of the wash looking great, nice fit's as well.

Jeans, I tend to go for Levi's as they last you years as well.

Trainers, i've been rocking different styles of Sketchers, super comfy and hard wearing.

I have very good experience with Levi's actually. Best pair of jeans I ever had.

I have had my last 5 pairs of Jeans for work from there.... Basically as I refuse to pay much when its to wear in work... there is postage on top of it but if you buy a few pairs at once its not bad at all... For clothes I actually like and want for me, i go shop and try stuff on... Oh in case you use the site I found the jeans tight so you need to go one size larger than you would in most shops.

Heavily recommend the Airism clothes from Uniqlo during the hot weather.

Would always get jeans from Levi's but always in store. For the money you'll spend and the time they'll last it is well worth getting that perfect fit.
