EXCLUSIVE – CALL OF DUTY 2023 NAMED “MODERN WARFARE 3”

Insider Gaming sources have revealed that this year’s Call of Duty title will be called Modern Warfare 3 (Modern Warfare III). The title is in development by Sledgehammer Games (via Jason Schreier), but it’s understood to be supported by various other Call of Duty studios, just like its predecessors.

It’s been widely reported that Call of Duty 2023 was a “premium DLC” for Modern Warfare 2 and although that was the case at one time, this year’s title is a fully-fledged sequel to Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 3 will feature campaign, multiplayer, zombies, and a new Warzone 2 map during the title’s first season.

Las Almas, the map found within the Modern Warfare 2 campaign will be Modern Warfare 3’s fully-fledged Battle Royale map. It’s understood that the map will launch during Season 1 – Which is currently penciled in to launch at the beginning of December.

For Modern Warfare 3 zombies, several sources have said that the mode is essentially an Outbreak 2.0. It’s understood that Activision is currently weighing the possibilities on if the mode should be a part of the premium title or not, or if it makes more sense for the mode to be a free-to-play experience.

The campaign centres on exposing and defeating a shadowy cabal known as the Combined Military Alliance (CMA).

The only real thing I would want is a new map for DMZ and a removal of pay to win gooseberry fool.

I don't play warzone, bores me to tears.

Didn't MW3 get released a couple of years ago? Hard to keep track.

Modern Warfare 3 will continue the storyline from last year's Modern Warfare 2... with a capability of bringing over gear from the previous game, too.

I played through about 95% of the last campaign and didn't unlock one trophy!

Too much emphasis on crappy stealth in MWII for my liking, and some checkpointing that left a lot to be desired. That last level in particular was total rubbish. Then there's that short but impressive graphical showcase in Amsterdam, but which then culminates in a brief shootout that I'd say is extremely difficult to not initially die on.

COD back in 2007 hit you with things you'd never experienced before. Now they seem to have exhausted literally everything there is to do.

Campaign in the last one was absolute garbage. Me and the lads play a lot of search and destroy and we have a lot of fun with it as a group. It’s good banter. We enjoyed 2042 on release too, but cod took over.

Yeah mp was decent but campaign was shite. Gave up on it about half way through, got tired of committing random war crimes in boring ass settings.
