PostCall of Duty: Infinite Warfare & COD 4 Remaster | PS4, Xbone & PC

Confirmed

twitter.com/CallofDuty/status/725434514315468800

Activision has dug up a tweet from December 2014 in order to tease the – now probable – Call of Duty 4 remaster to ship alongside this year's new Call of Duty.

cod4 remaster -
Responding to a tweet posted around 16 months ago can only mean one of two things: either the leaked images of a Call of Duty 4 remaster are indeed real, or Activision has a sadistic sense of humour.

A reveal for the new Call of Duty, rumoured to be titled Infinite Warfare, is expected any day now.

Kind of want :shifty: Such fond memories of the MP but I'm wondering how well it still holds up.

Depends what they mean by "Remaster".

There seems to be an awful lot of looking back, and not even that far, when it comes to this generation rather than forwards. I know why of course, because it's cheap. Having to actually remaster or remake something worthwhile from the PSone/N64 era - such as Resident Evil 2 or Final Fantasy VII - takes a monumental amount of effort because you're effectively starting from scratch.

I've only played through Cod4 once years ago, so have thought about playing it again, as well as actually getting round to MW2 and 3. I've re-downloaded it on Steam and will play it without having to buy it again. Being activision i'm thinking it'll be at least £25, if not £30, maybe not including DLC.

I'd rather have a next-gen WWII Call of Duty.

I wouldn't mind this either. It's been long enough that I'm now missing it. Medal of Honor Frontline and Rising Sun were so good. Well, for the first couple of hours anyway. COD2 was a highlight of the 360 launch.

All of the CoD's kinda melt together, to me. Which one was this, the 'No Russian' one?

EDIT - ah wait, the one in Chernobyl? That bit was good. Wait, was Keifer Sutherland in it? strawberry float sake

Hopefully the rumours are true and Battlefield is heading back to World War 2. Guess we'll find out at E3, if not sooner...

What was the WW2 COD with the collapsing church? I specifically remember a church that blows up.
