After taking out the campaign and still charging £50 and now a bloody season pass, they can shove it when the sun don't shine.

I downloaded and played Black Ops 3 on PS4 (it's a free PS+ game) and I was predictably strawberry floating awful :slol: .

I had 3 games and my best performance was 5 kills and 16 deaths in team deathmatch :fp: .
My piss poor reflexes and my general hatred for this type of game made this a pretty much forgone conclusion and made me wonder why I bothered.

Practice, Peter. Practice.

You have to remember a lot of players have been blasting away at CoD for an age, and with BLOPS 3 being much older a hell of a lot of remaining players will be fans of this particular entry and as such will be pretty good.

It didn't help that I only knew the basic buttons and had no idea how to use any skills or wall run :shifty: . I did throw a couple of grenades though but I don't think I hit anyone with them.

I do enjoy BLOPS 3 online, but I will admit that there is a lot to remember when you first start out. Perhaps too much even. Basically though, outside of nailing wall runs just use the basics without worrying about skills too much. You'll find you'll put down a lot more players just through standard weapons and frags.

And keep moving!

I mainly downloaded it to try co-op zombies as that's way more my style.

I tried Black-ops 3 on PS4 as it was free on Plus and I'm happy to report that I'm shitter than ever at Call of Duty multiplayer.

My 42 year old reflexes just can't cope with this gooseberry fool and if anyone needs some easy kills I can rent this from Boomerang and show you how an OAP plays CoD.

Is any GRcadian trying out the beta this weekend? It'd be cool to hear what you thought of it :-).

I'm tempted to pre order on Xbox to play for a bit this weekend :shifty:

I know I'm part of the problem and all that but my gaming time is so infrequent it's hard to keep up with different multiplayer games. I'm good enough at CoD to be competitive and have fun so I'll keep picking it up. I've watched a few Twitch streams and it I really like the look of it, it's stupid to pre order now as I'll only have a couple of hours on Saturday to play and it's an outrageous amount of money but I'm on the cusp.

Played a good bit of the beta now. It's pretty much BLOPS 3 without the wall running or excess jumping. It's fast and the maps and guns look decent. Main quibble is the number of rounds that it takes to kill. Needs a fair few. Looks like theyre keenly listening to the feedback though so lets see. I really think i'm going to miss the War mode from WW2 tbh. Really loved that.

I found this really funny as it completely mirrors my frustration with this series.

If you suck at these games like I do they become so rage inducing it's impossible to improve because the rage takes over and all I can think about is just how strawberry floating gooseberry fool the game is and why am I doing this to myself?

You should have a go when the game is new. I tried BO3 over the weekend having never played it before and struggled to get a single kill despite being pretty good at Advanced Warfare and WW2 (and the older CoDs).

Haven't watched the video but it will be interesting to see how Battlefield players get on with the CoD like movement speed in this year's game.

If they've got it running at 60fps on console with 80 players on the map then I'll totally be interested.

EDIT: oh I watched the trailer again on my laptop shatter than my phone and it is 60fps.
