On ch4 (SoE) and hate the stealth part. I just want to go in all guns blazing. Too much stealth these days in games.

Gave up and put something else on

Wait, the bit where you infiltrate a Nazi building? That was great! It doesn't last all that long and it reverts back to more traditional action stealth and then full action a short while later.

There's an update (1GB on XB1).

https://www.reddit.com/r/WWII/comments/ ... 10_ps4xb1/

Hopefully the loading optimisations will be effective. And I've been stuck on infinite loading screen a few times too, and it needed a full reboot to be able to reload the game.

That’s interesting news about humvee suing activison. When you think about all war games, a lot of them feature vehicles, planes, ships etc that are based on real ones. Will Boeing, BAe, Lockheed Martin etc follow suit?

Nah the bit at the start getting towards the train. Once I get spotted it all goes to gooseberry fool and not enough time to get there with the endless supplies of Nazis shooting me. No problem with dying but forcing me to do stealth in order to be close to my destination point pisses me right off

Can you stealth all the way to the train? It appears to go pear shaped once you get to the final house. Either you'll start it, or your partners will get spotted initiating a shootout.

I stuck to the left, though you can take the far right option. You take out the first guard with R3, then you go into a ditch, circle around some objects, back into a ditch/sewer or whatever, and then you can take out various guards with the silenced pistol. Once I reached the final house it then turned into a shootout, you're attacked by a couple of dogs, and a lenient timer begins to get to the train before it departs. You can cheat and just rush to the end while getting shot to oblivion and a cut scene will begin.

There's a lot more stealth coming though. And a rather clunky tank vs tank (vs tank) section which was my least favourite part of the game, in which you've got to outflank both tanks amid crumbling masonry.

I must have got lucky with the tank vs tank+tank because they came at me one at a time.

Pierson's story is so simple a tale to tell (I've seen it in one form or another in WWII films numerous times) and yet they stumble and stutter with it from start to finish. So strange.

Yeah its at the last house but the strawberry floaters keep pinning me down and the strawberry floating dogs piss me off. Might have to drop difficulty down to get through this.

More dogs too.

There's also an unarmed stealth section in which you have to escort a young child to safety and if you get spotted it's game over, but it's relatively brief.

 Nice.

It's weird how similar that looks to the original CoD, those animations of the guy cowering behind the box could be lifted straight from it. Apart from the graphics I don't think I could tell the difference.

In the AngryJoe review he shows a clip of a massively overblown set piece with a train crash, looks so ridiculous.

Finally got past that stealth part on SOE. Took me ages AND I had to drop difficulty down to recruit to do it  :fp: And i still only just managed to get through against the timer on something like my tenth attempt :shifty:

The train crashwas nice though

It does go on a bit.

It's like they just sat there adding and adding to it. '...and then it explodes and takes out the whole of Germany.'

They've "accidentally" had 2x XP on all this time for Multiplayer - goes back to proper levels on Monday

That train crash  Ridiculous. Reminds me of one of the dumb escape sequences in an Uncharted game where the planet is crumbling to bits.

Seems like the initial problems are mostly fixed. I have no issues in MP games now, but HQ remains empty, which is annoying.

Edit: 2XP again this weekend.

There's been an update. You don't go straight to HQ any more. The game initially loads to a menu, and you have to select HQ if you want to go there. This appears to be how they've fixed HQ, because it's now properly populated. Seems VERY weird, not having the place to myself any more.
