Wow, if we were in school i'd bully you for not buying the Syndicate™ Pre-order only, exclusive Ultimate Elite Platinum Deluxe® Operator edition (with exclusive beta access, icons, and weapon skins) that is a perfectly reasonable £300.

Daddy the other kids are bullying me because my Master Chief doesn't have as many gold spangles on his armour as theirs! You don't love me enough to spend hundreds of pounds on pointless gooseberry fool!!!!

I know it's better to make irrational hypotheticals but is there not a positive that the kids who can't afford to get cosmetic items can play the most popular game on the planet for free?

Yes. Thanks for asking ;)

It is better than CoD costing £60 on release and STILL including mtx bullshit.. More appropriate setting too. It's pretty likely most families have at least one device that can play it.

We are finally getting over boundaries with crossplay too.. Not being able to play with friends on an Xbox or PC or whatever was bullshit in the past, especially multiformat games. Looking forward to seeing that improve. Theoretically means you can play on PC with whatever parts you have or can afford and play people on fancy new consoles too which is great. For example my brother players rainbow six siege, I don't want to buy a ps4 yet.

I haven't even played fortnite once yet btw I'm not sure what I'm doing in this thread

See I find it weird that is the micro transaction stuff that is picked up on. Using CoD as the example they are completely optional and you can earn loads of loot boxes just by playing the game and you don't earn anything that affects gameplay. The DLC on the other hand completely splits the community which I think is a buffer problem.
