Well can you? I love cooking. I just read in another thread that someone bought curry sauce for 4 pence. It reminded me of Family Guy in whichBrian claimed he thought a soiled diaper was Indian food and that was why he ate it. Curry is wonderful, when you make it yourself. So can you cook? Want a recipe? An easy one?

I regularly cook chicken, jerk chicken, chicken curry, buffalo wings, chicken ramen, tuna curry, lamb mince curry, chicken mince curry and a whole host of other foods I love.

I can do curry, scrambled eggs, and pasta. That's about it.

(and it was me that got the curry sauce for 4p 8-) )

I bloody love to cook, but being single really limits what you can realistically do without have to save at least half of it for the next day. I just tend to cook things in batches now, and freeze them so I don't have to have the same things 4 days in a row.

Even got two of my friends to cook during our first year at uni when we all met each other. One didn't even know how to cut an onion and now he's quite the dab hand and can easily follow instructions. Just a shame about the lad we live with now so seems to burn everything that isn't a microwave meal. Oh well.

Well what the hell do most of you guys cook? I'm tempted to post up a quick easy recipe for tuna curry which involves a bit of coconut cream powder and tastes gorgeous.

Yeah when I was in Uni I had a job in a chinese restaurant preparing the food, after a couple of months they started showing me how to cook the food and I ended up working as a cook their for two years so I'm pretty good with chinese food.

Right now I'm really into lazagne (sp?) and pizza. I love to make the pizza dough from scratch as well as the tomato sauce. Oh, and curries and stir-frys, but again rather than having it ready made I'll actually make the sauces up myself. Then there's sunday roasts. Mmmm. And soup. Hmm, haven't made any of that in ages though.

Occasionally I do something a bit more flash, but again I have the problem of portions so it's not really worth it financially.

Think I need some lunch now, I'm getting quite hungry.

Realy enjoy cooking and pushing myself past the usual lazy option of cooking frozen food in the oven. Always buy loads of fresh veg and meat to go with the various spices I have to see what I can come up with. Normally its just curry and various stir fry’s but have been learning how to cook traditional Sunday dinners and make pies.

Asda do their own smart price curry sauce for 4 pence and I always end up with a few jars of it, as it’s useful for making a quick basic curry. Its quite plain tasting but mixes well with whatever else is in the curry. Wouldn’t make it if I was having guests over for dinner but for a quick and cheap dinner during the week it gets the job done.

Every week I buy £4 worth of chicken breasts and 2 packs of minced beef and various sauces. Usually I stir fry the chicken and make curry and make bolognese with the beef, but sometimes I try something a little different. Like that time I made a lamb and potato pie. Made my own pastry and everything. It was AMAZING.

I'm going to make pasties soon, they're going to be awesome.

I love to cook. I do all the cooking at home (my missus can cook, but she hates it), and I'm teaching my daughter and two of my friends to cook.

I'm a pretty good cook and I actually quite enjoy it, having flown from under the wing about 5 months ago and am living with a girlfriend who is an awful cook it was more a survival thing than enjoyment. If I cook its normally spag bog, chilli con carne or toad in the hole.

As I said the GF can't cook but seeing as I often work late and have a few hobbies I don't have much time to cook, she does what she can this normally involves the freezer and the oven.I fear this is turning me homicidal toward Mr Bernard Mathew so if anyone has any quick and easy (like 10 minute) recipes they would be most appreciated.

Fry some chikken breast in a wok, add Loyd Grossman sauce (whichever you like), put some pasta on, leave the chicken to simmer until the sauce reduces, serve.

Easy!

I can cook alright, yeah. Usually stuff like spag bol, lasagne, curries, stir fries and soups, sometimes things like meatballs, pizzas (usually with pre-bought bases though).

Unfortunately, thanks to being stupidly busy half the time nowadays, I don't really get the chance to cook as properly as I'd like to and have a back up supply of tins and frozen food too (though usually things like chips, veg and frozen pizzas. Don't do microwave food much). Only dabbled in making my own sauces a few times thanks to limited time and money.

When everything slows down a tad, I'd like to get back into more cooking and try some new dishes.

Really? I find most sauces are cheaper to make from scratch, and don't take that long to make.

Of course I can cook.

Taste the Difference lasagne, rip off lid, place in oven, wait 40 minutes, DONE.

Or.

Pick up phone. Dial number. 20 minutes later I've made a wonderful Domino's pizza.

Cooking is a piece of piss.
