I use live once a week give or take, and i get new demos when they are out, There is never anyone on my friendslist playing something I wanna play! and if they are usually they are partied up!

I don't mind paying for the service though, what's £5 a month?

I tried living in London but I just couldn't stand living in a place full of nutters who stab you in the back as soon as look at you-and that was just the lawyers!

Also, people turn into absolute animals when it comes to tube trains in rush hour. When you factor in the price of a pint then you'd have to be mad to live there if you had a decent alternative.

You can tell I'm not scarred by the experiece at all can't you?

I get my money's worth, although unlike you I am jobless slacker with no girlfriend.

I remember cancelling my XBL subscription while I used my original Xbox, it was a stupid faff down the phone. PSN does everything I want and it's free, even if I had a 360 I don't think I'd bother with Live, I have a big lack of time and money.

The voyeur in me thinks paying £40 to spy on my friends list is worth the money. The occasional game too, I suppose

Cancelling live is a right pain, which is why I hope buying game cards should put pay to that. Cancelled it on the 360 and original, both times I took far too long to cancel it as I had to phone up.

Pretty much the same for me. I've been on Silver for a long time now and I don't miss Gold one bit. Never was much of an online player, but at least with Silver I can still indulge in buying DLC and renting out movies. Playing online was never enjoyable and I definitely prefer the SP experience in games. Just annoys me that MS continue to restrict new demos, etc, to Gold members for the first week of release. It's pathetic and MS should stop the idiocy right now.

I'm not an online player myself. Mainly because I'm gooseberry fool, and getting beaten over and over is not good for the ego. Therefore, Gold simply isn't worth the money for me. As long as I can still access DLC with my Silver account, I'm perfectly happy.

I normally buy 3 month, gold LIVE subscription cards. My present one expires 22nd of next month. I won't be re-newing my LIVE account during the summer, I'll probably be back on it the end of September some time.

I never really thought about going LIVE when I first got my 360, but I glad I did. It gives the games a greater life then just single play. That's why I particularly like FPS, I play the SP first, complete it, then take it on line, then shoot the gooseberry fool out of other people!

Yep co op Halo wars and RE5 have been some of the highlights of this year so far for me :D

Also a certain fight last night with mockmaster in SF4 was worth the entire 50 quid sub alone
