Every time the group nominates a leader, this leader will head into the basement and bring back a clue.
The leader can choose which of the cannibals' names to get a clue for. The gamerunner will then randomly give them one letter from that cannibal's name.
e.g. Karl is elected group leader. He chooses cannibal number 1. The gamerunner randomly gives Karl the third letter in cannibal 1's name: N.
However the gamerunner won't say how many letters are in the name in total (although the number of cannibals will be known.)

This seems to be the key to the game.

Get at least 2 letters from each cannibals name before the end of the week. Disclose the letter to the thread. Concentrate on the first cannibal first. Lynch those that the clues point towards.

For this reason I think we should have random leaders to avoid the cannibals taking control of this. Avoid having a player be the leader twice.

Disappointed in the lack of a anime gooseberry fool so far tbh.

No Teatime Phase or incontinent granddad either, 0/10 would not recommend.

Just reading the rules list, I like the look of this. Should be interesting to see how it all plays out! :)

You cannibals are a disgrace to this forum. Whenever a fire alarm is pulled, it's Cannibal House. Whenever the liquor store is looted, Cannibal House. Whenever a human corpse is desecrated...

Underrated.

Phase One

Omnivores, you will need to elect from within your ranks a Leader. This person must be appointed, by way of the 'classic' in-thread running poll, by noon today. The chosen Leader will need to submit two names to me by PM before 1pm. These two names will thusly become your choice for your Phase One kill. (The Leader's vote will be the deciding vote if the Phase One kill 'election' results in a tie.)

As well as being immune from any Cannibal kills that will take place later this Phase, your Leader will obtain an important clue, which they will be trusted to share with the rest of the group.

Finally, the leader will be the person to make the decision for this Phase's question on behalf of the group. The question is as follows:

"Do we want to look in the attic to see if there's anything in there that we can use against the cannibals?"

Remember - both Cannibals and Friends of the Dead will be informed as to the 'best' outcome.

Decision by noon please, ladies and gents.

Hard to have a sensible strategy at this point. In recent games the bad guys have targetted experienced players as quickly as possible so I suggest we nominate a good player. That's all I've got!

Pretty much what Pancake says. We have zero info at the moment and so whatever we decide is just a shot in the dark.

Makes sense. Especially as from the sounds of it the cannibals can knock out quite a few a day so we could loose good players fast!

This seems sensible. I like sensible.

Also, so people know, I'm at a press event from 10-5 (and leaving my flat in about ten minutes) so I'm not going to be about much during the day phase. I'm taking a laptop so I'll try and keep up with the thread if we get a lengthy lunch break.

In terms of kills, we don't have anything to go on yet. The main thing we should be looking at is whether to go to the attic to see if there's anything we can find to kill these mummy strawberry floating cannibals with.

With that in mind, I'll run for leader with the idea of sending people to the attic, and killing suspects decided by consensus in the thread. I'll be here all morning as well.

So we can look in the attic to see if there's anything that helps to beat the cannibals.
It might be good or bad to look in the attic.
The cannibals know if it's good or bad.

That right?
