From this I have come to the conclusion Pacman used it as a play to gain my trust, as he would pass the amulet, then not kill anyone that phase, as no one had died and I would have likely been the target I would then assume I was "saved" the amulet and as such trust Pacman.
The kicker was that in the description the existence of the item or save should never be mentioned.
I guess now I will either get killed if the amulet is real for mentioning it, or the plot will be uncovered.

I would've voted Songwriter to clear up whether we're dealing with a third alpha or not but the amulet stuff just sounds too fishy.

OK, that does seem pretty suspect.

The lynch mob descends on the pantry. Songwriter is hauled from the room and unceremoniously thrown back into the throng. Other members of the group grab Pacman.
With one man holding each of his arms, they drag him, writhing and protesting, into the centre of the room. A third man drives a knife into his stomach.
Out pour the remains of Hyperion and mcjihge2. A wry smirk appears on Pacman's face. It turns into a full-on manic grin. And then, swiftly, his eyes thin and grey.
He was the ALPHA CANNIBAL.
In this game, Alpha was merely a position within the ranks of Cannibals, not a title born with or buried with. If one Alpha dies, then just as in real life, another within the pack takes their place. The Alpha Cannibal was the one member of the Cannibals entrusted to PM the gamerunner with details of kills, and be PM'd by the gamerunner with details of preferable event outcomes (much like the Friends of the Dead). Their bonus, as Alpha, was that they'd be seered as an Omnivore.
Wrapped in the partially-digested remains of a torn Liverpool FC shirt sleeve, the Omnivores find a Gate Key.
The remaining men realise what exactly it is they now possess. A split-second is spent gazing at one another in disbelief. Then, sprinting. Out of the house's front door. Down the elaborate winding driveway. Right up to the previously-sealed gate.
Skippy, in his haste, fumbles with the key he has somehow come to possess. His arm is steadied by Songwriter, barely believing his own survival. He places the key into the lock. He turns. Errkal pushes the left gate. Pancake the right. They slowly creak open.
There is a bewildered silence. Laga breaks it.
"We're free."
"Free!"
As the players leave the mansion grounds for the final time, a small bang can be heard. They look back. Ethereal purple wisps emanate from the building. Then, slowly, the house begins to fold into itself. As the roof collapses into the innards, an echo can be heard.
