Just rewatched I Love Lisa for the first time in a while, it's got so many excellent yet forgotten lines in it.

Where do you want these beef hearts?
On the floor.
It doesn't look very clean.
Just do your job, heart boy.

You know, one day honest citizens are going to stand up to you crooked cops.
They are!? Oh no! Ha-have they set a date?

That story isn't suitable for children.
Really? I keep my pants on in this version.

Bart, do you want to play John Wilkes Booth, or do you want to act like a maniac?

I know a lot of people hate random humor but I think that joke is one of the better examples I have seen of it.

How is that "random" humour? (I strawberry floating hate use of the term random like that, too.)

The joke is that Homer has completely misunderstood what ballet is, and based on his character, the show's writers have created a vision of ballet that Homer would enjoy, and that happens to be him confusing it with a circus of some kind. He's aware it's done kind of performance act, but that's where his understanding ends.

"Random" would have been Homer picturing himself on the moon wrestling an alligator made of cheese or some other Noel Fielding garbage.

Random was a bad choice of words, I understand why the joke is the way it is I'm just saying that it is random in the sense that the bear in a fez driving a little car comes completely out of the blue and that the joke is one of the better examples of that kind of comedic gag.

This was apparently the first year The Simpsons wasn't nominated for an emmy.

I think Harry Shearer got a nomination?
