Bringing this thread back from the long dead as I picked this up in a sale in 2016. Only today have I got around to playing it. Just beat the first boss level and I've been crowning every level so far.

This has been a pleasure to play so far. Can't wait to carry on through it as today and tomorrow goes on and look forward to what other fiendishly clever puzzles they can put in my way!

Yep, wonderful game. Had the pleasure of receiving it for secret Santa a few years back and got to play the over new year

Still on my to pick up list. Hopefully Wii U games will drop in price when Switch hits but I can see them going up as they become rarer than hens teeth

Did you get the bonuses levels for having 3d world save data?

Book 2 finished. Really, really enjoying this.

I know it'll likely come to an end after Book 3, but it was well worth playing through so far.

Getting into the cannon at the end of Book 2 just felt so good.

One of my most loved Wii U games. I wish it had gotten DLC. Its just such a relaxing and rewarding kind of puzzle game to play through.

I've always thought it was to be a single book download with the other two as DLC, then they just bundled it all together to sell as a retail release.

The very last level is an utter dick and removes all the joy you had in all the other levels. :x

This game is just pure Nintendo brilliance.

I'd love to see a sequel on Switch.

I too have been playing this recently, loved the sections in Super Mario 3D World but for some reason this lay untouched for ages, I played through Chapter One and then again its been left relatively untouched for a while. Gone back to it over this weekend and coming towards the end of Chapter 3 now, fantastic game packed to the brim with Nintendo charm. It'd be ideal for playing on the go too so hope we see it return on the Switch.

Book 3 Complete! I'm going to leave the optional stuff for now and focus on starting Gravity Rush 2.

What an amazing little package of a game. I didn't quite 100% it yet, got 3 levels to get the checkbox on and one to get a diamond on, but other than that I'm done. The ending was lovely.

I love how it explains how Captain Toad found his way to 3D World's universe!

That really was adorable, the whole thing.

I've not quite got 100% but from looking at the levels I'd unlock for doing that it's nothing other than variations of stuff I've already played so I think I'm probably going to leave it there.

Had a lot of fun with it though, charming and really entertaining to play, just the right amount of challenge to keep it interesting without it ever becoming overly frustrating. Occasionally I had little frustrations with the camera and some of the Toad Brigade levels also got a little irritating at one stage where they wouldn't get on the bloody platform I wanted them to :fp: . Not a huge lover of the touch-screen/blow on the microphone bits either but I suppose they were trying to justify the gamepad as much as possible and they're fairly infrequent. All minor issues though, an absolute gem of a game overall.

I don't know whether anyone else was the same but I found myself playing this entirely off TV, it was perfectly suited to it and I couldn't help but think how much of a perfect game it would be for playing in portable mode on the Switch.

Couldn't agree more with this. I wish they'd had a toggle for the gyro - sometimes I'd tilt the camera to a not particularly helpful angle without meaning to.

I played it pretty much entirely in off-TV mode, too, and I'd love to see it come to Switch. For some reason I can't see Nintendo doing a sequel, though.
