I'm not so annoyed at not being able to play the game but rather that this a service I strawberry floating pay for. Best they could offer me was a month extra free, was just about all I could do to stop myself from telling them to shove it up their arse.
This strawberry floating saga rolls on for another day.
You realise that Prime isn't a single delivery company thing right? They'll send your parcel out with any one of a number of companies (granted one of which is their own Amazon Logistics), who they presumably have contracts with that promise delivery by whatever time they've promised their customer.
I understand at the end of the day that its Amazon you are paying for Prime and that they should take responsibility for it, but you might be better served taking note of the delivery company involved and give them a portion of the blame, at the end of the day if they are failing Amazon its them that's at fault (and granted it should be up to Amazon to do something about it).
Part of the reason I say this is because I'm on Prime and my copy of Captain Toad was sent by untracked Royal Mail delivery and got here a day late presumably to do with the timing and it being sent out over the new year. Prior to this only once have I had a delivery not turn up, it was a similar situation to you and I got an extra month of Prime out of it. As long as its not a regular occurrence I think you've just got to accept that every once in a while a parcel will not turn up on time and accept that getting a month more of the service is probably the best Amazon can do.
