Hearing Arthur Gies' thoughts about it on this weeks Rebel FM has completely put me off buying this. It sounds like my worst nightmare. Frustrating and archaic to the core. He wrote that IGN review, btw(and took a lot of gooseberry fool for it :lol:

couple o' updates.

PS3 version has mandatory install - 4.5gb

Both versions will be receiving some free DLC on release - Rathalos Armour from Monster Hunter.

No news on if we'll be getting the Wesker & Frank West DLC.

Demo, shemo. As someone who loved the first I thought you might have atleast given this a rent.

Even if this does turn out gooseberry fool, I didn't pay much for it and more than likely get my money back on a resell

The Akrid figurine is hilariously bad. If anything worse than that picture makes out.

Yeah I got mine this morning, even for free it's shocking.

Looks more like an Akrid's faeces rather than an actual Akrid.

re: Frank West and Wesker, don't you unlock them by having a Dead Rising or Resi 5 save game on your xbox. I assume the Frank West one is 360 only for that reason along with the GoW content with Wesker being on both versions?

I thought the Monster Hunter costume was PS3 exclusive though, nice bonus for 360 owners if we get that too I guess.

Yes.

They just did what Capcom did with Resident Evil 5 and focus on the co-op too much. Without a few friends this is pointless and I can't see many people on my list playing it with red dead redemption out next week. Plus the savepoints on this are silly.

Just got it today. Won't get to play it until nearer the weekend, so I'll have to try and get the guide done for this ASAP (although knowing my luck, I'll already have missed the boat)...

I bought the steelbook version of the original when it was on sake for £9.99, glad I didn't pay full price for it. Steelbook, though :wub:

This game is for people that were in to the MP of the original game (the only one I really remember from here that got into it was Suzz)...taken on that level its actually pretty good, unfortunately games really have moved on from then.

The whole thing is massively more complex (somewhat needlessly) than people are used to now, the front end is ridiculous. You can see what they were going for at points, but it really just doesn't hit home the way it should.

Still despite being both dated and completely MP focused, I will give it a proper go, you never know.

Could kind of do with playing with people here though, who's got the 360 version?
