Mine has been: 165, 300. Quite a jump there for me, but I don't think I'll be able to find an SUV in my price range with more than 300HP. :(

A friend who is also a car guy and lives in a smaller town like I now do has told me that I just need to think about this car as being for my wife. After a while he said we will see we need two cars and so that one can be more fun, but I'm not seeing that happen anytime soon.

Crashed my motorbike this morning. Came off in the rain and the bike slid into the back of a brand new McLaren 720s :shifty: :fp:

Yeah just a few scrapes and bruises thanks. I was only doing about 30mph and the bike just suddenly fell away underneath me in an instant. I slid a bit and was able to watch my bike carry on sliding into the McLaren. Insurance phone call was a bit awkward.

I looked into having my air con sanitised.. couldn't believe the prices.

Got a can of the aerosol to do myself, £4!

Cheers.

It's a Triumph Speed Four.

The accident wasn't far from my house, so I pushed it back home and then went straight to work. I just had a first look at the damage today and I can tell now that when I applied the rear brakes the bracket holding the brake lever must've snapped and caused the bike to fall. So it wasn't just from the rain, which is good to know.

Glad you're not in serious injury. :)

The Dodge engine warning light has returned :x . It is clearly Turbo related but the information the code provides is not enough for anyone to identify the problem and fix it so I'll basically have to wait for the turbo to die before anyone knows what the problem is. On the plus side, the iodb tool my son bought me for my birthday last year lets me clear the error so at least I don't have to drive around with the warning light on or take it somewhere to get the error cleared.

Adding to my woes, got a letter from the police for doing 61 in a 50mph stretch on the M25 so will either being doing the course or getting hit with a fine.

I'm stunned that just clearing the error codes didn't fix the problem.

I''m stunned that Fiat who own Dodge and have taken over the maintenance can't diagnose or fix the problem. I didn't think that clearing the error would fix the problem, I'd hoped it was quality of fuel related and would not return. No need to try and be a smart arse.

Without wishing to revive the Halfords debate, how did that conversation go?

Not sure it was a good idea to ignore an issue with the turbo, tbf.

Did you not read the follow up (I think you did). When it happened again I took it to Fiat. They were unable to diagnose and basically said I need for it to completely fail. The problem is, when the light comes on, the turbo has cut out. If you switch off the engine and restart, Turbo is back. You can then go on for hundreds of miles before hitting the issue again.

Had the pleasure of driving this for two weeks around the US:
Image

Took that photo while driving out of Zion national park, which was a series of wiggly bits of road linked with tight hairpins. Was like a top gear Christmas special. :toot: The car was an automatic ( :dread: They all were from the choice we had) but you could pop it in to sport mode and use the paddle shift, which I did on that climb and any other good bits of road. On that bit we had a blast through some tunnels which was :datass: (backed of to a stand still with nothing behind and did about 5 full chat runs with ask dat echo), and then as we wound or way higher, freebird came on the radio - just perfect

It also has this really naff thing where it projects the mustang logo from each door when you have them open, but I found it suitably ridiculous.

Had the roof up twice in the while trip, was so cool driving all of these great roads in the open air. I think we covered about 1500 miles or so and drove for about 45 hours in total (I set a trip counter but forgot to look at the grand total when we dropped it off).

10/10 would do it all over again.

I don't know what it was, had no badges or any info in it. I'm guessing it was only about 300 or so bhp, but it had strawberry float loads of torque ( I did a standing start to 75 on route 66 and then realised the hand brake was still on :fp: )
